Shepherd00:

So, all the noise you've been making here as an atheists about reading the Bible was when you a pre-teen? Tell me Buda sincerely, was your mind in what you were reading or you were counting letters while thinking of something else?
Even after I tell you sincerely, you will come up with some other argument Shepherd. But for the sake if it, and as I've said, "some chapters three times". What was unfortunate really was not understanding that the little I did understand was far more than those around me who hadn't even read it said it meant. Like you, they claimed it was to be believed while I was learning amazing things. And no, I did not stop reading it after my teens. I've always read it. I read it because of my own fascination and desire to understand. I read it to understand those who read and referenced it around me. I do after all have family and friends who are heavily influenced by it. I read the Quran too, also for better understanding. I find that if I read the religious texts of people I would understand them better, be less likely to offend them and be more able to love them because I would be less ignorant about them. But just by reading it, the powerful miraculous wonders the text does is done to one, hence here I am Shepherd. I hope I don't need to state my qualifications regarding my reading abilities. If you can imagine that in my writings you've been reading every word carefully chosen, perhaps you'd get an idea someday.

No, I didn't tv. After moving to hotter climes from more advanced bbc, I travelled back in time to Nigeria NTV which compared was not worth my time. Besides, we didn't get one until Festac 77 when I put my foot down and insisted my parents either take me to Festac to learn about African culture or get a telly and we got one. And there was NEPA with their constant power cuts. My entertainment was lots of reading on the balcony where I could hide away from everyone, and the world services on the radio. We were 3 floors up so our Blaupunkt radio got the world over!

You know what, I would not exactly take your word on what is the Gospel of Christ to be honest. Hopefully in time, other's will come share it with you,
I'm not surprised Buda. You've already said you don't believe in the Bible as the people who wrote it are propagandists. If you don't believe what Paul, Peter and the rest wrote, why shd I bother if you don't take my Words?
budaatum:

I did not tell anybody not to believe Shepherd. I said, believe if you have not yet asked. But if you "Ask it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you and then will you know.
Saying that believing in God is not necessary is enough to confuse people. Buda.

budaatum:

God wants powerful people see. Not just sheep to be shepherded!
This must be the god in that your religion because in Christianity Jesus is the Shepherd while are the Sheep.
But if you want to be a goat, no stress Buda, we are happy being Sheep.

budaatum:

And I never told anyone not to worship God! To worship God is do my will, to love your neighbour and to do unto others as you will have them do unto you, to forgive them their trespasses so that your trespasses can be forgiven, to feed the poor and to be “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” I specifically said that anyone who understands this will even beg God to permit them to worship God!
Yet, you said God never created us to worship Him.

budaatum:

What is the title of this thread again? Who started it? Who is focusing on what others are doing?
This thread is to clarify a concept, not comparing notes. I'm not here saying I'm a better Christian than you are. No. I'm not focused on how you conduct your beliefs. I only wanted to know how one can be a Christian without believing in God and His Word, because that is what you said. I never said I was better than you becos I believe in Jesus and His Words.

Buda, I know you are firmly in support of Homosexuality, that is your choice. Even if you were a homosexual yourself', all I can do is point you to the saving gospel of Christ, but since you use the Bible to support it, i'll leave you be. I cannot present myself as better than you as you do repeatedly in your posts here.

budaatum:

I don't focus on what others are doing Shepherd.
You do Buda. In this thread you've implied it repeatedly.

budaatum:

In a funny odd way, I am selfish and way too busy focusing on whether I am receiving the gifts from God for myself that the speck in the eyes of others least concerns me until they start poking my eyes like you have on here.

Could you be doing it without knowing? because your posts here says differently. From when you began attending Church where people roll on the floor crying, to other kids using their tithes to buy sweets, and you don't, to you seeing believers who don't live the life, but you who don't believe do. on and on.

You are self righteous Buda.

budaatum:

And even then, I'm glad for the opportunity to have a conversation, for I know my conversation is not with you alone, but also with thousands who will follow who would read this thread. I mean, look at what the Spirit of the Lord helped you drag out of me, and without interference! Or have you not noticed the sideliners watching on?
I'm glad we are learn a thing or two here.

And, thank you for putting up with me. I know I can get emotional sometimes and go over the top.

budaatum:

They will comment Shepherd. O they will, those whom it may concern. Meanwhile, I strongly suggest you get a mirror!
Let them.
And, so shd you.

Lol. How can you live what you don't believe in?

'Wirhout Me, you can do nothing' says the Lord. Jesus, to you is a specimen under study, doing what he comands is trial and error for you. It really means nothing to you, except you lie, but what does it say?
'Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks'.

I wonder why animal activists arent called animals based on their activism. Animals don't hate, and we're supposed to be better than them. Pfft. The more you interact or read comments here on the Religion forum, the more you begin to understand why and how during the flood, Noah managed to save more animals than humans.

Quite frankly, that is a witch hunt, but hey, it is easier going for a vicious witch-hunt aimed at crushing the voice of dissent. That is the essence of a witch-hunt, that any questioning of the status quo, lending voice or standing up for the sexual minority, in itself to him Shepherd00 and the likes of, TV01, elated177, jesusjnr, Baddiezz, Agrogbeide etcetera, constitutes proof of complicity, so therefore you being a same sex relationship (i.e. SSR) activist, must be, has or have been a homosexual.

Sir Muttleylaf, you a homosexual man who claims Christianity, I don't hate you as a person. in fact, I find you very interesting. The very first homosexual I know who claims to love Jesus.

You choose to be Gay, your choice, your Life. Don't ever think that I hate you, I only hate your proclivity that's all.

You and Muttleylaf in this forum are men whom I know are activist for same sex. Just imagine this thread running to 4 pages, he didn't post one word until homosexuality was mentioned, yet he'd say he is not Gay. Why dey tin dey pain am so?

I wasn't really interested in your stance before now, because you were an atheist, and as an atheist, you could promote bestiality and pedophilia and will be excused (because they are human-animals), but Muttleylaf claimed he is a Christian, so my interest was on Him. But, now, I don't care anymore. It is his Life to do as he pleases.

Going by their logic, one better not be an activist against killing people or one "must be, has or have been" dead!

I swear to God if anyone figures how to manufacture brains and sell it to some people hola me please I'd like to invest!

Buda, be an activist, intact be a freaking gay it's your life, but when you try to.falsify the word of God (Which clearly is against homosexuality) and say it supports it, that's where we will disagree.

Both OT and NT, the Word of God screams against it but you guys are bent on bending the Scripture to accommodate it and bringing it into the altar of Christ.

Arueme. Abomination.

God doesn't speak from both sides of His mouth. What Hated yesterday, He hates it today and for ever more.

Homosexuality has no usefulness in any human life other than to gratify selfish whims called love. evil and demonic love.

Anyways, take your homosexuality out od my thread.

So what if in support of homosexuality, in support as a homosexuality activist, huh?

Some one at least has to make the conscientious decision, to stand up, lend or be a voice for and speak out about the injustice and lack of fairness to the sexual minority, to two easy going, ordinary consenting adults, minding their own businesses enjoying a life long caring, faithful, committed, truthful, honest, loving each other, lasting that's a lifetime life-long and loyal same-sex relationship, that is not causing damage or harm to another person, not betraying of another person, or even, not cheating on another person, and not being harmful to an object or neighbour. Love, a good thing, that defines the relationship between the two consenting adults, in such a way that they love each other, that they enjoy each other’s company, they are mutually respectful to each other, mutually supportive to each other, and even sometimes without sex necessarily being the leading or most important thing for them. Mutual love, mutual respect, mutual honesty, mutual truthfulness, mutually supportive of each other etcetera

When you make a claim that God (Whose name is Jesus) is not to be Believed in, or Worshipped, that has nothing to do with your personal Life, it's general and I never attacked you for having that stance, I only asked how one can walk with a Spirit without believing in that Spirit.

Vut Muttleylaf being Gay and coming here to say it's okay for Christians to be, and go further to falsify Scriptures to back himself up, that I consider an evil which needs rooting out.

MuttleyLaff be Gay, Almost the whole world is gay now. But keep the Word of God out of it.

Shepherd, I'm thinking you really are not aware of the spirit of your words. That's why you've focused more on what you've been writing with complete disregard to the spirit of your very own words, their effect has gone over your head it would seem.
