Just the look and design. I don't think there's any difference in quality. Some people think the shingles are more classy in looks, and you know they are more costly that the classic.

When I'm building, this is actually the part that gives me joy: choosing color and design of tiles to be used.
Tiles set the tone of the interior finish and style of the house.
Also, when it gets to this stage, you know that you have conquered about 70% to 80% of the work that needed to be done on the house.

Let me put it this mischievous way:
The stage of tiling is comparable with that point where the lady you have been wooing for a long time pays you a visit, and allows you to gently UnCloth her
At that point, you know you are halfway home...
Which is the reason why going to shop for tiles is the most enjoyable part of my shopping for building materials.
