The Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, yesterday said his administration would continue to partner professional bodies in the state to further ensure better service delivery to the people of the state.

He disclosed this while speaking as a Special Guest of Honour at the 3rd Annual Lecture and Investiture of Prince Adedire Adeyinka as the 4th Chairman of the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), held at the David Akintayo Oguntuase NMA House, Akure, the Ondo State capital.

This is just as the new chairman of the association applauded the governor for what he described as massive investment in the socio-economic transformation of the state including re-organisation of the system to ensure economic viability.

The governor who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Ifedayo Abegunde, noted that government was ready to partner the association to promote excellence and integrity among professionals in both the public and private sectors.

He added that his administration is doing a lot to bring dividends of good governance to the people of the state through provision of massive road infrastructures and creation of industries to create jobs for the teeming youths in the state.

In his remarks after his investiture, Prince Adedire Adeyinka, lauded the state governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for his uncommon commitment to all-round development of the state, saying that this has already been yielding expected results in the areas of infrastructure, Internally Generated Revenue(IGR) and industrialisation as well as jobs creation.

He said his leadership would work hand in hand with the state government in the area of policy formulation and implementation to ensure better service delivery to the people of the state, just as he appealed to the government to incorporate local professionals in its infrastructure drives.

Adeyinka equally stressed that drugs and substance abuse place a negative impact on human health, public safety, productivity, governance and relationship with crime, hence the need for government to deploy measures to combat the menace.
