We Yoruba Muslims hate the Ooni for trying to unite with the Igbos. Buhari should arrest him and throw him in jail.

God forbid i Share any relationship, friendship or what so ever with the yorobats,i am saying this categorically that there have never been or there will ever be any form of relationship between the children of light(igbos)and the fallen demons(yorobats)the only thing we have together is this country we accidentally share with them(which will break soon, and we will have our biafra)apart from this accidental dead country we share together, there is no other stuff that we had or we will have together in the future!! God Forbide!

A DNA test was carried out in Igboland, Igbos failed woefully. Igbos aren't Jews but are suffering from massive identity crisis.

The history of Igbos is hazy. No verifiable past, no future.
Calm down and confess that Igbo amaka.

You can also check other sites. Google is ur friend.

Kolanut does not only grow in Yoruba land. It grows in the East and there are 100s of 1000s of the tree in Igboland. My grandfather alone had more than 5 kolanut trees. Do Yorubas grow more kolanut plants than Igbos? Perhaps yes.

BTW, The role that the Oni is playing to unite Nigerians is great and comendable. However, he is human, and can make mistakes with facts. I hope the Eze Nri corrected him on that misfact.

Based on this article, the Oni might be referring specifically to Cola acumulata

Kola-nut is a tropical tree crop with over 20 species, out of which, Cola nitida (Gbanja) and Cola acumulata (Abata) are the two main species grown in Nigeria. Cola nitida however is the only kola-nut of inter-regional and international trade. While the consumption of Cola acumulata is greatly cherished by the Yoruba of south-west of Nigeria, the people of the northern and southeast Nigeria prefer the Cola nitida.

No living Yoruba man has made efforts to strengthen the ties between the Yorubas and the Igbos than the Ooni.

Always honoring occasion in the east and saying good things about the Igbos.

No Yoruba man, dead or alive, ever does (did) that.

May God bless this man...

Humanity first, tribe secondary
This is the leadership Nigeria as a nation is lacking someone who unify the nation as one-Nigeria not by selfish words but through action.

Yorubas have been brainwashed by the historical revisionist. Oduduwa came from Benin to ife in 10th century and the people he met there were igbos. The monarch is an oduduwa descendant telling you the truth but the fabrications you have consumed for long has blocked your head. However, igbos did not move from ife to igboland. Igbos in Ife scattered among the yorubas that is why you have many"igbos" in yorubaland eg igbobi, ijebu igbo, oyingbo, igbosere, igbomina etc, Latter under oba Essigie of Benin and the political turmoil that followed his treaty with Portuguese, igbos in ado n'idu near benin moved East and mixed up with western igbo with few crossing the niger shrinking igbo boundary to Agbor

You're indeed an Okoro Savage! grin

"Igbo" in this Yoruba context means forest / Bush / Jungle

Igbobi - Igbo-obi (Forest of Kola-nut)
Ijebu Igbo - Ijebu land of vast forest
Oyingbo OR Igbo-Oyin - Forest filled with honey
Igbosere - Forest of fun / play park

Please, get your facts right instead of assuming like majority of Igbos do. You guys tend to propagate stories to suit yourselves. Abeg, enough of the nonsense! angry

We ain't talking about d specie, kolanut in general grows more in South West nd d facts ar there for u to see even if we base it on species.

Those who rated SW as d highest producer of kola have their reasons nd the statistics behind it, we don't base it on weda ur ancestor has 1000 trees or millions of trees.

Hausas grows it, Igbos grows it, Ijaws grows it, but the real kola deql is from Yoruba land.

The fact is in Nigeria even west Africa Yoruba's grows it most , name d specie u will find it in excess here, kolanuts grows like weed here.

Just like u comparing d production of garri in Ijebu land with Ikewre land.

Mark these words!

The Ooni of Ife is heading for a Nobel Prize award -- The Nobel Peace Prize.

And that will make the scoreline become two (2) to zero ( shocked ); that is, an infinite% more Nobel Prize winners.

If you know you know! grin
