Ajax Amsterdam recently sent midfielder Frenkie De Jong a heartfelt message upon his departure to Spanish giants Barcelona via their social media channels. Did you see it?

The midfielder had a stellar campaign with the Dutch outfit, forming part of an incredible team that made it all the way to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

With that Ajax side expected be broken up due to bigger clubs potentially signing their players, De Jong already agreed to Join Barcelona for £65.3 million in the January transfer window.

With that deal having been agreed on the basis that he remain with the club until the end of the 2018/19 football season, De Jong's move to Barcelona is now imminent, and Ajax took to their social media accounts to posit a heartfelt message to the technically gifted midfielder.
