Well for W4/7 and Astra you need a standard lnb similar to what to have already,I don't know the price in your location but
if you can afford premium2 hd lnb or spit fire lnb good enough.

Anyone who can help me do this in Benin? I will pay of course as long as the price is reasonable

used to have one hitv lnb at home which first came with the dish when i just bought it, don't know if it can work for the astra if dstv 36 is the default position.

@Btopes, i think yes u can use it but u'll need to have a HD decoder to enjoy astra 2b, try nd go for 4669xii, also an acredited installer will have to help u change the direction to 28 degree east, u can also try it out urself, i should also try our nu things buh PHCN r not helping matters here, maybe 2mao.

Who said so, he doesn't need hd to watch astra 2b. He only need any reciever that is mpeg 4. I don't know the reason why people call sd reciever as hd reciever.

thanks so much house, i'll try out but i don't intend to alter the dstv position, want to use the hitv lnb as 2in1 setup; as 2nd lnb for the astra, was told i can still watch gtv even with an mpegII decoder or 63x i guess. apart from joy tv, is there still likely any oda interesting station so i know whether the 69x is not worth buying, 15k is not convenient at the moment.

Hey my fellow nairalanders and other gurus in the house, these was what i tried yesterday as a newbie in sattelite installation, i'd wanted to combine w4/w7 to my astra 2b with 60cm dish nd strong 4669xii decoder, i spend close to 3hrs yesterday hoping to nail the bird but all prove abortive so i decided to dump it for now, maybe i'll try and raise money to buy anoda 60cm dish and see maybe i can nail it myself, the pics are given below, while i was angry,i removed the LNB and suddenly i saw the decoder HIT a strong Green, i was hopeful nd decided to try again but all effort was lost, though i love discovery and inventing but how i wish i had somebodi beside me who could jeer and give ideas,maybe i will have nailed it, will try it out some oda times, i used these setting to track the w4/w7 12130 h 27500. given to me by cantell and fta dream gave me this 12.437 h 23.436, though i have saved the TPs but its still not working, pls help me oooooo,,pics are given below.

Which of the lnb in your set up is W4/7 and Astra 2ab? The distance between these two birds is about 1 to2 inches.
NB It should be clear to you that,the reason you nailing W4 is because of this tp 12.437 h 23.436,with over 17 channels.
When you get this tp hit green,any other tp will pop up.

I got your point my brother,and I am not surprise you failed,"Cantell should read this and put fire in you".
You are a good listener and a good reader but the application is the problem.You can do this,which I am sure of.
If you really want to track these birds,let's do it this way. Remove the top lnb which by your post is W4 and put in your room.
Go back to your dish and track W4 with this tp 12.437 h 23.436 by bringing your dish down slowly that means you need a spanner to
loose the bolt on the dish which of course means tempering with Astra to give way to W4.When you are done report to the house
with picture then we can proceed with the second phase.

@all, its a groundbreaking day 4 me.i finally did my first ever 2-in-1 lnb installation 2day in neigbourin town(sagamu,ogun state).it was quite easy.i got 12437 upto 63%,while 12248 was stable @ 52%,other dstv tps hit 80% above all on d primary lnb. Multitv & infinity on second lnb hit 83%. Pictures ar comin soon.d size of d pic i took wit my fone is too large 4 upload,i wil resize as soon as i get back 2 lagos dis nite &
upload it .am feeling lyk a superstar here.d peeps here av never seen anytin lyk dis b4. My thanks goes to all of u &especially oga matthew &borderline who made all the installtn arrangements. I owe u all.

@Adedayo, good job in here, it means u have w4/w7 as d primary then u attached astra 2b beneath it, now, i noticed u r using a 90cm pan, and as for me, i have beenb trying to nail it with 60cm buh all effort proved abortive, i use srt4669xii and i neede to knw d distance between d first and d second dish, i would have loved to tamper with d primary settings(astra2b) and raise it up, but m scared because there r no installer around so i need somebody to guide me through, pls i need to the d distance between d astra 2b as the primary nd w4/w7 as the secondary, thank u, pending on ur response, i might set-up anoda self installation later dis week.

It was amazing today. I did a 2 in 1 with W4(11.900 H at 98%) serving as my primary and ASTRA 2ABD(12.552 V at 91%) as my offset on a 90 cm strong dish. The amazing thing there is that I got astra 91% using a strong dual lnb.

You can do the 2 in 1 with a 60 cm dish. Just try it and you will be there.

dia is absolutely no big deal in dis thing.just free up ur mind dat u want 2 do it &u will succed.u dont nid 2 measure any distance. If u ar confusd abt d reference point 2 use 4 trackin,dont b scared.STEP1>>
slighty loosen d bolts dat makes d dish move sideways &also d bolts dat make d dish move upward &downwards.
STEP2>> then,while u ar @ d back of d dish,move d dish slightly downward &d dish 2slightly 2 ur left while u watch d screen with dis frequency 11747 h 27500.follow all d instructions in d previous posts in making sure u get d maximum signal on 12437 h 27500 &others.also study d simple way of attachin d 2nd lnb neatly frm my pics &other members'.am sure u can do it urself.its very easy
