Today is the Supreme Court Judgement on the Political Tuzzle regarding APC candidacy in the just concluded Federal And State Election.

Supreme Court delivers judgment on Zamfara APC dispute today May 24

The Supreme Court on Thursday fixed May 24 for judgment in the appeals relating to the dispute over the validity of the All Progressives Congress’ primary elections which produced the candidates fielded by the party in the last general elections.

The Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad led the five-man panel which heard the appeal on Thursday.

‎There had been two conflicting judgments of the Federal High Court in Abuja and the High Court of Zamfara State on whether or not the party conducted valid primaries in the state.

The Abuja and Sokoto divisions of the Court of Appeal had also delivered conflicting judgments on the matter.

While the Governor Abdulaziz Yari faction which, with the backing of the national leadership of the party, produced the candidates fielded for the elections in the state, had maintained that the party conducted valid primaries in the state, the Senator Kabir Marafa faction claimed otherwise.

Imagine, two conflicting high court judgment and two conflicting court of appeal judgment. I don't like the way the courts allow politicians to be using them for their selfish gain. They are just abusing court process... Well Supreme Court is only one, no more tactics to deploy.

The Sharia CJN will of course rule in favour of the Almajiri president that there was a congress so that the evil party will retain the dubious victory it had during the last (rig)lection.

Everything about APC is "EVIL"

Meaning runners up will be sworn-in or fresh elections If fresh elections, will that not mean a constitution logjam as there will be a vacuum of governance in the state

As a layman...one of two things will happen...
1. The Amaechi case might apply
2. The party didn't hold primaries, the man who came 2nd on March 09,becomes Gov

There will be no fresh elections....damn sure of that...
There is enough precedence to not rule for a fresh election.

I have always said that am objective.i dont defend hopeless or baseless cases.in threads where apc are at fault, you cant see me there commenting.
As for zamfara,i expect them to rule against apc but if miraculously they dont, fine.
