Lend me your attention as I felicitate with a fellow Archival Distinguished Senator of SUG but of Anambra State University (ANSU) Republic on this his auspicious day!

It is with immense glory to God that I stand behind this invisible podium to celebrate an avarta, a warhorse in leadership, and an apostle of hope to the hopeless.

This man has shown laudable exploits and uncommon qualities right from his days at Government College Afikpo where he was the Library Prefect, likewise when he was a Distinguished Senator representing the good people of Engineering Faculty senatorial District in ANSU Student's Union Government. The time he was the state PDP chairman in Ebonyi State is evergreen as he utilized that platform to strengthen the bid and pave way for the second term in office of Governor Elechi with himself as the Deputy governor in 2011.

In 2015, his magnanimity in political offices alongside his belief that what money cannot do, more money can do it, earned him the seat of Governor of Ebonyi State as he polled the highest votes in all the 13 local governments in the state against the choice and interest of his boss, governor Elechi.

As a hallmark of an advocate with the spirit of unionism, he has remained a force and a voice to reckon with since his entrance into main stream politics.

So far, he has earned many awards in leadership, politics, entrepreneurship and in his area of specialty, Civil Engineering. In fact, he is a living apostle to young and upcoming leaders!

Dave Umahi as he is fondly called reunited parts of the state which was balkanised by recurrent inter-communal wars by recruiting youths of the state into 'Neighborhood Watch', an agency that is saddled with the responsibility of keeping every community on check against any sort of reprisal attacks. He transformed the state aesthetically by building many infrastructural edifices in the capital and other parts of the state including Abaomege (my community) where he built Portland cement-concrete roads of about 7 inches high and also an ongoing flyover project due to the economic importance of my community and to ease off the stress on commuters from Enugu, Abia, Imo and Cross-River State.

Though there may be more expectations like creating more jobs, payment of gratuities and many more from the indigent people of the state, His Excellency, Chief, Engr, Apostle, Nweze David Umahi, has in fact Cristallized his name and immortalised his leadership within this his first tenure in office in the face of recurrent economic quagmire and political brouhaha rampaging the nation.

ONE OF THE DARKEST POINT OF GOVERNOR EL RUFAI IN THE PAST FOUR YEARS WAS THE KILLINGS IN SOUTHERN KADUNA THAT WHICH ALSO INCLUDE THE KILLING OF A KING IN SOUTHERN KADUNA WHOSE CONVOY WAS INTERCEPTED IN THE HIGHWAY AND MOST OF HIS ESCORT WERE KILLED.
