The recent result of a total Huawei ban slammed by the United States Government has caused many American companies to cut ties and partnerships with the Chinese smartphone maker.

Huawei’s Android license was revoked by Google for future devices, but it was even pulled from the Android Q beta programme and ARM, whose designs are used in Kirin processors, also has ceased ties with Huawei to comply with the US’ drastic new policy.

Although the US delayed the ban for 90 days, Huawei is already thinking of a backup plan, should the ban go back into effect. Huawei has reportedly asked app developers to submit their applications to the App Gallery – Huawei’s own App Store akin to the Galaxy Apps Store on Samsung phones.

This is Huawei’s immediate back-up since many Huawei and Honor phones already come with the App Gallery pre-installed.

A Portuguese media outlet has now reported that Aptoide, an open source alternative to the Google Play Store with more than 900,000 apps and more than 100 million users is negotiating with Huawei to develop a viable alternative to the Play Store.

Huawei may find it difficult to win this war.... the tech coys have a lot of ties within themselves.

Modified... aptoid is already screaming blue murder, just because Google play has hidden its app and declared it unsafe on its playstore.

Apitode is a good alternative, but I bet they won't budge to Huaweis request, since it's a ban from the US markets completely, if they do they might be playing with fire, it's even better they teach users how to download apps offline

[/color] aptoid store interface is extremely eyesore,their thumbnails is out of it,the themes adapted with it is all archaic,but nontheless the negativity,you can download free app that is restricted to certain countries,and non-free app on it.

Then you will have to think how will they survive the other google app without going astray on the hunt.

Furthermore,what about the OS,java-symbian-blackberry-i phone-android,then you will think aloud what other OS that can surpass the current ones... [color=#550000]

China banned Facebook, Google and the rest from its country...
America did the same... But Huawei was still doing fine...
America continued by banning Huawei from doing business with its companies...
Thats Aggressive bully!!
The ban on Huawei from selling its phones in the US is different from the ban on US companies not to do business with Huawei!!

Huawei suffer because of China. I pity Huawei but China deserves it because their laws. China products deserves a ban self because of their patent right law. When two elephants fight the ground suffers that's just the case a Huawei

I only pity Huawei in all this. But no one should blame USA for this but China.
If twitter, google,WhatsApp, Facebook are fine and ain't crying for not Allowing them in China, Huawei should be fine also.

apptiode is malware and adware ridden.the appetite won't even penetrate western world.
I doubt if not average nigerian with smartphone can use phone without Google, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, whatsapp, etc.

the only way out for Huawei is to wait till PWAs takes off fully...PWA will spring up different operating systems and 'democratise' android

There is no way china will win this trade war... They will end up burning their big companies. Nobody should blame the US for this... China banned America social media companies because of one reason... Threat to national security... America ban Hauwei because of one reason threat to national security. it was not even a total ban like those one being implemented in china... America citizens that are not government officials can still own their devices. "When the fly was inflicting pain on the wounded nobody complained, but when the wounded start reacting na so so mouth we dey open"

America banned its Military and Gov't Workers from using Huawei devices!!...
They also pressured carriers like Sprint and Verizon from doing business with Huawei, they banned Huawei gear nationwide...
But those bans had its limits in America...
