You will have more opportunities in Rivers.The presence of many companies abound in Port Harcourt especially oil servicing companies and multinationals like Total,shell etc...So chances of getting employment after service is high I.e if you are lucky.

Akwa Ibom is majorly a civil service state.But very peaceful which is lacking in Rivers state.Lately Rivers has been in the news for the wrong reasons security wise.

The choice is yours...

It depends on what u are lookin for. In terms of job opportunity go for Rivers state. In terms of lower standard of living,low rent,security,etc go for Akwa Ibom.
