Take a look at the first pictures of the new Liverpool away kit for the 2019/20 season launched today
Liverpool unveiled their brand new away kit for the 2019/20 campaign on Friday morning.

The strip, which is the final instalment in the club's current agreement with New Balance, was officially made public and released for sale at 9am and marks a shift away from recent trends from the American manufacturers.

Liverpool's last three away kits have all featured striking colours, with last year's ' Deep Violet ' following on from ' Bold Citrus ' and ' Toxic Thunder '.
Moving away from such themes, this season's strip is a more demure white and navy, with Bob Paisley's signature stitched into the inside of the neck in the same way it is for the home and goalkeeper jerseys.

To commemorate the tragic events of Hillsborough, the 96 emblem, encased by the eternal flames sits at the nape of the neck, again, in the same fashion as the home strip.

The kit is completed with navy shorts, and white socks complimented with a lower navy section and red trim. The goalkeeper jersey features in green with matching socks.

The kit launches as part of New Balance’s “Live it” campaign for the 19/20 season, which "aims to encapsulate the legendary spirit that unites Liverpool FC fans across the world."

Fans can also get their hands on the three official UEFA Champions League winners patches for both sleeves, including the 2019 trophy patch, six-time winners' and 'Respect' patch.

The Reds signed an eye-watering deal worth a reported £300million back in 2015 with New Balance. The deal saw Boston-based New Balance sell official Liverpool merchandise in their 500 stores worldwide.

The partnership with New Balance was a record-breaking multi-year agreement which replaced the existing six-year deal with Warrior which was signed before the start of the 2012/13 season.

However, the contract expires next summer and the club are keen to secure an even more lucrative deal they feel matches their current standing in world football.

Last Saturday's Champions League final triumph has only strengthened their bargaining position further.

And Liverpool remains open to negotiations from all manufacturers as they seek a deal that places them on par with Manchester United's current £75m-a-year agreement with Adidas.
