Total savings is over 2m. That is mutual funds , fixed deposits and savings .

I presented the 3 to them.

Are you saying that i should move all money to one account and apply.

Budget for the trip was 423k

Those are investment deposits which is not readily available for your trip thou it still stand as tie make sure you submit the Certificates on your next reapplication.

Liquidate some of your mutual fund into your savings account so has to have a good closing balance, submit more meaningful documents, show them more tie and apply

I have been a silent reader and I just want to ask this to be clear! I was previously denied UK visa with my family twice.... for unexplained credits even when I explained all. But I registered my spouse for a paid event and the visa was granted. Spouse have just returned from the UK after spending the 7 days that was stated in the visa application. My question is given that the visa expires in 4 months time, will it be any better if the family apply for a summer trip and add my spouse visa page with detailed LOE to treat the previous refusal? will adding her visa have any kind of effect? We just wanted to spend 10 days.

If you are travelling together add your marriage cert., photos, her passport data and current visa to your supporting documents.
But
what will have a positive effect is rectifying the reasons for previous refusals, admitting about them in current application and adding a cover letter to explain (since no more interview)

please, I would really like to know, if i get a visitors visa to the UK, after arriving in the UK, is it possible to change the visa to student visa before the visitors visa expires, and if yes, what are the steps involved and the cost also

Good day house,

I applied and was refused visit visa in June because the ECO said he was not able to ascertain the sources of other deposits apart from my salary.

I reapplied again and did biometrics on the 19th of June attaching a letter of confirmation from my employers for the other lodgements as brokerage fees due to me with rent receipts issued to my tenants for the other lodgements too.

My cousin in the UK was called by the ECO on Monday 8th June and he confirmed he was expecting me and would be responsible for my accommodation and feeding for the period I'll be in UK and that he was sure I'll depart after my holiday.

It's over 18 working days now and I've not heard from the embassy and there was no mail too informing that my application is not straight forward. TLS portal just shows application is with DMC.

Any reasons to be concerned?

No it is not possible. You must have to come back and apply for student visa.
The visitor visa cannot be changed or switched to any other visa esp when you are in the UK

They meant aside your salary account with total closing balance 342k , how do you explain funds in the other accounts with over 2m with proof, not just writing letter

Sorry sir, how do you mean proof?

I submitted the statements and relevant cover letters from the respective institutions stating the sole funds are mine and can be liquidated at any time apart from the fixed deposits by September.

If they are asking origin of funds, that means i would present my bank statements since inception as i have been working for over 4 years.

If you submitted all statements and explain the fund well in those 3 accounts ,. Then ECO saw something he is not convinced about. Maybe apply again
PS if you write 'additional income' be it business put your business info, if it's side business(non registered without tax) that would be difficult to prove.
I think they view 200k above a good salary enough to visit UK if you have no family members or friends there, I hope you have luck next time

Have enough funds in your account like 800k n above which must have been in your account for 6 months. Employment letter, leave letter, hotel booking, flight booking, itenary and most importantly pray to God Almighty for favour.
For how many days visit visa?

On two occasions I have used the signed pdf stmt from GT Bank internet banking and the applications came out successfully. One for me, the other for my parents. I just felt since one will have to scan and upload everything, why bother? Fear not....

Good day, pls I'm a little confused, I intend traveling to the UK with a visitors visa from Nigeria , though I was born there (UK) but came back at an early age, my question is this ,
1 when I'm at the UK can I apply for a student visa so it would be cheaper for me
2 Aside visitors visa which is best to apply for that can give me time over there
3. while I'm there would I be given any preference
Thanks in anticipation for your reply

If your birth was registered in the UK, just apply for a UK passport with your birth certificate..etc
If no, then apply to the school from here and and get a student visa. You can not change or switch the visitors visa. Either apply for student visa here, or apply for a passport with the necessary documents gov.uk

180k salary? What’s disposable income monthly? Obviously budget would be around 3months disposable income, better to add more proof of additional income and reduce budget....

I think it is not advisable.. He wants to spend more than his 2 months salary and half savings for a week trip while he has 3(three - 2kids and partner) dependants.. I really think its not advisable, those ECOs are very smart and logical

If non of your parents hold British passport or permanent residency at the time of your birth then you can't apply for British passport.
