One major reason is that Odigie Oyegun was not APC Chairman!

The major reason is because his Major challenger Danjuma Goje stepped down..

Pdp endorsement of Ndume was 2nd option since their main man have been intimidated by Efcc

Buh ain't this leadership stuffs suppose spread across the 6 Geopolitical zones?

What happened to south east?
The zone doesn't have people from the ruling party in NASS expecially H.Rept.If u people av allowed Kalu or Ngige to stay since last term,by now dey wud av become ranking senators. No how important position wudnt av bin given to them.By rite,de speaker of H. of Rept suppose to come from S,East because S.West has already gotten VP slot. But de zone doesn't have a ranking member for that.So next term, even though u r PDP zone, try n get one or two people from ruling party.Thats how politics is played.

All your points are on point especially Buhari's intervention and Ndume's unreliability, if you noticed in the last senate, Lawan was in with APC through thick and thin while Ndume quickly sell out to Saraki to get Majority leader and he quickly sell Saraki out again to APC, it would have been a great mistake on the part of PDP and other rebel APC to vote for him because he could flip to Buhari's side like he did the last time leaving the PDP guys in the cold. Right now I believed the PDP guys got good deal as part of their negotiation. Many clueless People think all this stuff pulled by PDP and Saraki the last time and all the stunt pulled by PDP now are for the masses but in reality it is about negotiating sweet and juicy deals for themselves and I was part of the people that search for houses as a gift for PDP senators and house of rep members in 2014 for them to vote for Saraki and Dogara, they bought houses in katampe ext because non of them wanted money due to efcc trouble time, they also negotiated juicy key commitees for themselves but this time around nobody to finance the houses, we got the house in lifecamp and they just drop the idea later.

Buhari's factor is also very important, the last term he was not interested, he felt he can work with anybody since every arms has their cut out functions but Nigeria is much more complex than whatever the constitution says, now he does not need anybody to tell him what to do, he has seen and expirienced it by himself so he quickly acted b4 anything could happen.

I hope he has also learn from his past mistake and he will free hand small make people enjoy life.
this your submission is trash, Buhari doesn't have anything to offer this country, this is my question during 8th assembly was there any executive bill that can benefit masses that national assembly refused to pass?infact 8th assembly did some amendment to our constitution in which Buhari refused to sign it for example PIB, ELECTORAL LAW AND MANY MORE, but I thank God Lawan is the president of senate now not Indume let's fold our hands and see how this useless government will play their game. Hope they won't blame PDP or SARAKI for their failure, yeye government.

Where in the Constitution is it written that leadership position should be spread across ruling party members Alone?

Now that the Executive has its choices for Senate President, and Deputy, who is the APC going to blame for the failure of the next four years?

a. Lord Lugard for fornicating with his girlfriend the day she named Nigeria.

Imagine naming a whole country after a session of hot straffing. Who does that?

b. Chukwuma Nzeogwu for the coup of 1966.

If he had held the gun properly, he would only have shot Ahmadu Bello in the leg and not killed him.

c. MKO Abiola for not fighting gidigbo with Abacha for his mandate in the village square.

d. Obafemi Awolowo for wearing round glasses and looking too serious, thereby making other tribes not to like him.

e. Nnamdi Azikiwe for speaking too much grammar during campaigns.

f. Gideon Orkar for not planning his 1990 coup properly, thereby allowing IBB to finish spoiling Nigeria.

Even if it's not specify in de constitution. The party ideological differences will not allow de ruling party permits an opposition party to control de parliament. They believe that the opposition leaders will be antagonizing dia policies since dey do not share de same ideology.Unless de opposition become de majority in de House, dey cannot produce de leader.
