Rochas is the only Igboman who stands a good chance at becoming president in the near future because he is accepted by the north but unfortunately for him, that is also his weakness as hardline Igbo extremists sponsored by selfish PDP politicians of Igbo extraction, have used his closeness to the north as a propaganda tool to destroy him. When Ralph Uwazuruike said Igbos are the most foolish tribe in the world, he wasn't telling a lie. 3 Likes |

Nothing lasts forever. Time will tell. At a time Hitlers Germany was the most powerful country in Europe until greed for power destroyed him and Germany. BTW Rochas is totally irrelevant in the South East, only a fool will take his words seriously. 1 Like |

QuotaSystem:ironically, it was Rocha's selfish choice of Nwosu, his Inlaw, and the attendant consequences that destroyed that beautiful dream that would have been birthed through him post 2023. Rochas should have sacrificed his ego but that ego is what he should appease. By fate, circumstances, positioning and association, which Igbo presently alive would Nigerians have entrusted the presidency with post 2023 if not Okorocha? I just feel like slapping him right now. 2 Likes |

Tell them o, Rochas. As sad as this situation of politics tainted by cultural and religious imbalance seem. It could get worse. Elections are primarily based on popularity either by affiliation or imbued. This is reflected in the outright skewness of indigent posts and roles held by the Igbos. I am afraid the Igbos have become unfavorly unpopular in Nigerian politics, one particular reason being the brand of politicking being employed by the region as politics of hate and sentiments and rhetorics. Elections come once in 4 years but the after effects of campaign last at least 4 years. Although not especially, the Igbos always whip up the biafran episode, religious affiliation and even fraternal association with trends, events and personalities that willingly and purposely aim to sabotage and undermine Nigeria and Nigerians. To be president of Nigeria, you need to be accepted by at least 2/3 of Nigerians informally by popularity. Let's work this out - if we assume the wazobia arrangement we can say Nigeria is 3/3 where Hausas are 1/3, Igbos 1/3, and the Yorubas 1/3. Every election in Nigeria plays out this expression. See how. The hausas have common grounds with Yorubas in religion which is an aid to integration thus alliances are always achieveable mutually, it extends to politics and cultures of the Yorubas and Hausas, on the other hand the Igbos are always harping on their no common ground basely from religion and culture thus the ground for animosity for the Hausas and the Yorubas, the Yorubas are further held in bile for their stance of the biafran episode. So we have a 1/3 at best vyiing against 1/2 at least. That's the mathematics. Fences need to be mended, bridges built, grudges buried and alliances built with the same fervour used to nurture the present sociopolitical label as the Igbos adorn presently. Over time and elections we would definitely have an Igbo president only if effort is made in Igbos political consciousness and alliances . Igbo kwenu. 2 Likes |

raker300:You are right in saying that we fought and the war is long over but you see in our own case, there was a victor: Nigeria while in the case of the Sudan civil war it ended in a stalemate. Sorry but your analogy can't be applied In this case 1 Like |

The title of the thread is misleading because i know okorocha himself wants to be president. He said an igbo president is impossible because it is secession, instead we should ask for a Nigerian president of igbo extraction. Two different things. I didnt know okorocha was this intelligent. |

well read..and well spoken but its you okorocha that spoilt our biggest chance...if only you drop your greed for son in law governorship, the Senate president would have been yours unoppose and the APC would have still been alive in the south east..but you killed all of it... my prayer is that you dnt go to the Senate to fool yourself the second time cos the guys in the north will nail you dead end politically! |
