The official selling price for the Nairaland Forum is 25 billion naira, so I can float my own mega-bank. I will accept nothing less. Thisday Online is worth $304,989 according to the same website! http://www.smartpagerank.com/result.php?domain=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.thisdayonline.com%2F/ That's about 40 million naira for a site that is not really about making money! |

I'm willing to give half a bank not one of the 25). Beyond mega-bank this will be the bank that ends it all. This is not a test. This is not a scam . This is an opportunity to get in early. |

Seriously Nairalanders, heard from the grapevine that the FG is interested in buying some popular Nigerian social website apart from floating some of their own, to counter saharareporters perceived anti-government posture. The first site that came to my mind was Nairaland. It is unarguable the most popular Nigerian site. Proof me wrong if you can. This move I heard is in tandem with the reasoning of some of our government's spin doctors that the internet is fast becoming a veritable tool in shaping opinion in the world (wonder why the fools are just realising this) and as such the government should seriously pursue this medium to showcase government achievement(?) and fight its enemies especially Saharareporters. If prominent social website can be sold in other clime, I don't believe Seun would be able to refuse an offer from the federal might if they (the government) are really interested in taking over his site. Afterall, everyman has its price. Remember Tai Solarin. When the offer comes with the proviso that the owner of the site can continue to run it, I doubt anyone would be able to refuse the offer. May God save us from the , |
