Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah in Egypt for the greatest football fiesta in Africa, AFCON 2019.

The Senator representing Anambra South and the national leader of Young Progressives Party (YPP), Sen. (Dr.) Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah was among the dignitaries at the 20,000 capacity Alexandria Stadium, Alexandria, Egypt, where The "Super Eagles" of Nigeria defeated The "Swallows In Battle" of Burundi in the first match of Group B, in the on going African Nations Cup football tournament, AFCON 2019.

Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah is in Egypt for the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in his capacity as AFCON Organizing Committee Member. Recall that Sen. Ubah who is also the biggest football investor in Nigeria was also in Russia during the 2018 World Cup football tournament, as one of the FIFA'S special guest for the 2018 World Cup Fiesta with other world football stakeholders and investors.

Also, recall that during the 2019 Anambra South Senatorial campaign, Senator Ubah assured the people that if elected, he will sponsor quality bills that will efficiently and effectively harness potentials and opportunities that abound in the nation's sports industry, especially in the Football subsector, in order to provide Nigeria's economy the platform to reap the bountiful benefits.

He in company of the President of Nigerian football federation, NFF, Amaju Pinnick, ex-internationals like Kanu Papilo Nwankwo, Austine JJ Okocha, Daniel the Bull Amokachi and others had some encouraging pep talk with the nigerian super eagles players inside their dressing g room during the halftime break. And one won't be wrong by saying that their halftime pep talk with the players yielded a good result, because they won the match after that.

Super Eagles of Nigeria's next match will be on 26th June, 2019, against The "Syli
Nationale Stars" of Guinea. A win in that match, will automatically qualify the Nigerian Super Eagles for quarter finals stage of the competition.
