It is a good thing African teams are losing .....because really if we did well, and went to win the trophy, we would be using the good performance to cover up the structural issues with African football.

I remember how Nigeria won gold at Atlanta....and everyone was rejoicing forgetting that our football setup had serious issues.

Today we are yet to win the Male World Cup.

We want Cameroon and Nigeria to win....so that we can pretend that the issues of funding, corruption, lack of enough players at youth level, lack of interest in the game, etc....do not exist?

Good thing we lost. The sad thing is, we will go and tell tales of how we were cheated by the imperialsits...ignoring the deep seated problems that caused this matter.

No food for lazy man.

Thought the Cameroonians will walk out of the field and redeem the pride of Africa but alas the slave mentality set in, the coach started reasoning the money FIFA will pay the FA and was telling the girls to remain in the pitch. The girls later after the initial gra gra went back like the dog to its vomit and that was how even their clear goal was disallowed and they were made to eat the humble pie.

So it was the useless coach that told them to go back ?

Thats a pure lie. Nigeria played great football yesterday and were just unlucky to be kicked out by ref and VAR yesterday. Be mindful of how u support injustice cuz I watched that match.

Match reminds me of the game between Houlus FC and Gringo Manlad FC in 1945

Mehn that match was a cracker.
It was that controversial penalty given in injury time that spoilt everything. Even the French government almost waded in.
The following year, Gringo Manlad kicked out houlous FC. What a sweet revenge that was too!

pls check this pix very well.
the player labeled 1 actually passed the ball to the goal scorer not the one labeled 2.
but the leg of the player 1 was in an offside position that's why it was regarded as offside.
this decision has nothing to do with player 2.

The Cameroon team are an embarrassment. Kicking, shoving, tantrums, spitting. An utter black mark on Women's football. And the VAR calls were even right!

What a travesty

we Africans are too emotional at times
let perform well and leave all this pity games... they could have scored more goals that even if var awarded England that goal, it wouldn't matter

Imagine crying Racismo when they were outscored and dominated. These Cameroonians were a big disgrace to the entire continent, nothing screams dumb than reacting the way they did when VAR didn't go their way. It's an emotional sport, but have sense at least.

We need to play better as Africans. There is no point crying over what we don't have any control of. Just play well and score more goals than your European or White opponents. No one can deny you of your victory then. VAR should not stop African teams from winning matches if they can outscore their opposition. Cheers.

[quote author=GodSaklek post=79611587]FIFA was created in Europe,so FIFA isn't for worldwide but for Europeans only, yesterday match against Germany, (Nigeria vs Germany) ,referee in-charge of VAR Is from Spain,Spain is Europe,Germany that Nigeria is playing against is also Europe, they just use on-field referee to cover up,the one in-charge is in the room(VAR), I don't know why no body notice it when fifa announced referee for Nigeria vs Germany,I don't why know nobody talk about it,untill Africa and the rest of the Continent abandoned FIFA for Europe and creates their own separate associations.
[/quote

lets look at it from England's second goal versus the cameroun;s goal that was disqualified...the abuse of VAR was glaring...i watched Brazil vs France later and we saw a ref disregard VAR decision. It would have been nice to see the cameronian shame FIFA with a walk out ,but they couldnt, a team like Argentina would have walked out..cos they know that FIFA cant ban them..they are a factor to reckon with.

Above all...Africans too needs to wake up with the technicalities mordern football entails, not just by being physical on the pitch..

Hey sorry Cameroon take it easy, we have love for y’all. We’re all Africans, and we support you. All the African teams got screwed over by VAR and shady officiating. We will overcome this. They will be put to shame.

Only those who are deeply in love with mediocrity and impunity will support the nonsense the Cameroon team did yesterday.

Still fuming at this disgraceful performance that has brought the World Cup into disrepute.

Fifa should consider fining them if they don’t apologize.

What do you suggest we do to deal with the issues in our sports? Lemme guess: increase ticket fees, increase shirts and other club wears cost, increase tv fees etc??

Sorry, you have only unvieled part of my evil plans... cheesy

Other things include...

1.Increasing participation...this means organising children's and teenage female football clubs to increase the talent pool. Also means training more coaches.

2.Nigerians should take more interest in female football..because revenue in the game helps development

3.Airing matches on television...like DSTV...privdes revenues for clubs.

Of course, money is needed...you may laugh....but the hones truth is that without money, we won't be able to do much. And considering our sports budget is less than $2billion...
