The embattled senior pastor of COZA, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo has stepped aside for the church elders to take charge while he clears his name

The pastor has been widely criticised, with some Nigerians on Twitter asking him to step down.

Members of the church had hailed the pastor when he took to the pulpit on Sunday, with some screaming “pastor we love you.”

Recall that celebrity photographer and wife of musician Timi Dakolo, Busola, had accused Fatoyinbo of raping her.

However, the pastor has denied the allegations, saying he did not rape anyone even as an unbeliever.

He didn't step down from being the pastor, he only said he's refraining from the rape case for the elders-his spiritual heads to take over d handling

Please stick to the facts of the case. Only Busola accused him of rape. Others claim they had an affair with him. That a multitude of people say something does not necessarily make it true. Let the case be taken to court and guilt established before castigating the pastor. I watched Busola's video and I don't believe her. It felt like she was acting. Her words also do not make any sense. She claims the pastor pushed her onto a chair. She watched him take of his belt. She watched silently in her own home. He later covered her mouth. She did not struggle. She allowed him push into her. There was resistance because she was a virgin. The pastor kept trying until he finally entered. All this time, she did not try to push him away. She did not bite his hand. She did not fight him off. Rape is a horror nobody should endure, but false accusation is an equal horror. Both can destroy lives permanently.
