The Actors Guild Of Nigeria, Saturday 6th of July, 2019 honoured Bishop Emeka Nwankpa with the title of “OCHENDO NOLLYWOOD” during the 5th Edition of the Guilds annual award giving ceremony held at Imo Entertainment Academy, Owerri Imo state.

The event which attracted the crème de la crème of the entertainment industry across the south east zone of Nigeria featured prominent entertainers and big players in the Nollywood industry within the south east.

While conferring the title on the Isiala Ngwa born cleric and philanthropist, a popular actor known with the stage name "AGBOGIDI" described Bishop Nwankpa as the pillar of the entertainment industry across the south east geopolitical zone, stating that Bishop Nwankpa has been very supportive to the industry and said it was for that reason that the guild singled him out to be honoured in this year’s event, he stated that it was an honour well deserved and that Amb. Bishop Nwankpa deserves every honour he is receiving here today because of his philanthropy and immeasurable support and encouragement that he has given to the industry over the years.

They thanked and congratulated him on his award which was well merited and requested that he remains steadfast and never relent on his philanthropic gestures and the good works which he is known for.

In his response, Bishop Dr. Emeka Nwankpa thanked the guild and expressed his gratitude to the them for finding him worthy to be honoured with such a prestigious title, he told them that he will continue to be part of them and will keep supporting the guild which he described as his family having been an actor, producer and marketer.

He also commended the Guild on their commitment and steadfastness, he charged them to put more effort in the development of the entertainment industry which according to him is bringing laughter and happiness to the homes of many across the world.
