A former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Adolor Okotie-Eboh, is dead, Igbere TV reports.

Igbere TV reports that Okotie-Eboh died at the age of 64.

Family source told Igbere TV that the late former chairman, who is the son of First Republic Minister of Finance, Chief Festus Okotie-Eboh, died in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness.

Meanwhile, a former Governor of Delta State and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has expressed shock over the death of Okotie-Eboh, whom he (Uduaghan) described as patriot of the Nigeria’s project under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration.

In a statement issued to Igbere TV and signed by Monoyo Edon, Uduaghan’s Media Assistant, he noted that the APC chieftain contributed to the development of the party in no small major in Delta State and Nigeria at large.

Uduaghan said, “Chief Adolor’s death is depressing to the Itsekiri nation, the All Progressives Congress and Delta State due to his gigantic contributions to the political narrative of not just Delta State but also Nigeria in general.

“I pray that God would strengthen and console his family in this difficult time.

We miss you Omimi Ejor!.”

The former governor while commiserating with the family of the deceased and indeed the entire APC, prayed for the repose of the deceased and the fortitude for the family to bear the loss.

On his part, the 2019 APC governorship candidate in Delta, Chief Great Ogboru expressed shock over Chief Adolor's death.

In a statement he personally signed and sent to Igbere TV, Ogboru described the death of Adolor Okotie-Eboh as a great loss to Delta APC “following his antecedents in the growth of the party in the state.”

Ogboru said; “Chief Adolor was a founding member of the APC and fought for his beliefs. He will be missed for his forthright views on topical issues. May he Rest In Peace. Amen.”

He prayed God to grant the family of late Adolor Okotie-Eboh the fortitude to bear the replacable loss.

I'm starting to believe the stats about life expectancy in Nigeria. In the past two weeks the two of our family friends who died we're below 50. Most cases of death even on the news are of middle aged people. May God deliver Nigeria.
