Would like a piece of advice from all da tech savvy pips in da forum.

I would like to buy a laptop that i can use as if i am using a desktop i.e a lappie that would be really rugged and yet not gave up the ghose easily.

I have in mind lenovo but what do u think about Acer.

pss. Ma Budget is around 80K - 100K.

most laptops are rugged enough for average use. but if you want something extra-rugged u'd have to go for Panasonic Toughbook. http://www.panasonic.com/business/toughbook/home.asp. they're very rugged and can be bumped around. but they're very expensive.

however,  i don't think u have much options with that budget. u'd get an acer, IBM or HP 510 with a Celeron processor, 256MB, about 40GB HDD and so on.
i think the HP 510 is ok and rugged enough for average use. i bought it for someone and i was quite impressed. it's around 100 - 105k.

Thanks very much for the info. I have checked about the features of the HP 510 and men all i can say is it just what a want a budget p.c that can perform. Would have it in mind.

Do u know if Hp has a service centre in 9ja in case of any problems 'cos that is also a criteria to watch out.
