What a shame.

We as Nigerians should stop electing irresponsible leaders that do not care about the populace. Our next set of governors and president should campaign with sound economic plans.

Na today that one start?

Although the country’s economy has expanded at an average of 6% every year since 2016, the paradox of growth in Nigeria is that as the country gets richer, more than half of its 200million strong population continue to live in abject poverty.

BRAINLESS MUMU. So all these MILLIONS OF houses, duplexes, mansions, cars, SUVs, buses, lorries, and various businesses we see on our streets, cities, and roads throughout the entire country, only belong to 7% of the population?? BRAINLESS HE-GOAT, you and the other PEABRAINS here typing ''95%, 90%''..... AWON OLODO. Wasted Education. Functional Illiterates.

Many of you are DISGUSTING in the way you misrepresent and exaggerate the situation in this country.

I recall when Shoprite was contemplating establishing malls in Nigeria a few years back. Majority of you assholes came online discouraging them, and saying that everyone was too poor, and that ''only the tiny few rich'' could afford to visit shopping malls.

Many said it was a terrible decision by Shoprite to come to Nigeria, one they would come to regret, since, according to them, ''99% of Nigerians live on less than a dollar a day''.

Guess what? Shoprite IGNORED these people. ESTABLISHED the malls, and is ESTABLISHING MORE AS WE SPEAK, due to MASSIVE DEMAND AND PATRONAGE from the same ''poor starving Nigerians'' living on ''less than a dollar a day''.

And you wonder why people say Nigerians are dumb and stupid. Keep running down your country before the world. Cursed people.

I shouldn't have dignify a deranged nincompoop like you with an answer but I will show you statistics.

In 2004 about 54.7% of Nigeria populace were living below poverty line according to BBC world facts stats. By 2010, the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics put the figure at 60.9%, that's 6.2% in approximately 6 years. The trend has never change, rather it has worsened as more people are being pushed below the poverty line by myriad of ineffective economic policies that we have witnessed since Jonathan.

Under Buhari, millions have lost their Jobs, and many are still losing theirs, companies are porting to Ghana etc daily because out environment isn't business friendly. A myopic social misfit like you don't know these things because you still eat Mama's food and have access to borrow mtn data to come online spewing nonsense.

Just last year Quartz Africa had it that 86.9 millions are languishing in extreme poverty lines. If you don't know, absolute poverty is measured by the number of people who can afford only the bare essentials of shelter, food and clothing.

Dull brains can't pick these things. Read 4 skull, lai lai, una go de buy marks upanda. Bastard...
