Urgent vacancy for an Android developer based in Abuja for the development and maintenance of an in-house application. The primary focus will be the development of the Android application and its integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the software infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.
Responsibilities
o Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
o Work with outside data sources and API’s Integrating with Restful web services.
o Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
o Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
o Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Requirements
o Degree/Equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
o Must have 1 - 3 years work experience.
o Proven software development experience
o Proven working experience in Android development
o Have published at least one original Android app in Play store.
o Experience with Android SDK.
o Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
o Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
o Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
o Should be familiar with some or all of these technologies:
o Android Studio
o Android SDK
o Eclipse
o NetBean IDE
o Java
