ISHAKU Elisha Cliff Abbo, 41, was born and raised in Gova in Muchalla village, Mubi North L.G.A Adamawa State where he originally hails from.


He has lived in several parts of the world such as Lagos, London, Sydney, Canada, Abuja and so on.

He describes himself as “an incorrigible optimist, fearless visionary, a generational blessing, intelligent and compassionate individual.”

Political Career

On February 23, 2019, Abbbo was elected as the Senator representing Adamawa North, having polled 79,337 votes as against the incumbent senator who was the only female upper chamber representative from Northern Nigeria, Binta Masi Garba of the APC, who scored the closest votes with 63,219.


Abbo, who supported the APC in 2015, switch sides in 2018 when he visited former President Goodluck Jonathan to apologise for criticising him.

In a post which went viral, he wrote, “Today I visited the former President of Nigeria, the father and Hero of democracy in Africa His Excellency Goodluck Ebele Jonathan the man that believed that his ambition is not worth the life of any Nigerian.
