Please how is the government different from the people?
Is the government made up of foreigners, aliens or what
Don't many Nigerians steal and do sub standard work in their own corners?

God bless ur wisdom

Wike seems to have abandoned the commendable prompt response to potholes he embarked on earlier in hist 1st tenure. Many parts of Port-Harcourt have become impassable nightmare to motorists because the potholes have grown beyond management.

Ikwerre man, keep lamenting for what you guys brought upon yourselves and residents of Ohio Akpor LGA. When you people sell land both for residential and commercial purposes, do you make provision for drainage? The answer is a big no! Why will you map out some portion of land for drainage when the same land can add to millions of naira in your account. Now you are crying that the government should come to your aid for nemesis that you and your people brought upon yourselves and innocent residents who just buy any land in the bid to avoid unnecessary house rent from ikwerre man without even bothering whether ikwerre man has mal out access road let alone provision for drainage system.

Nkpolu, my Nkpolu!!! i spent more than 10 years there and i remember there used to be about 2 or 3 "burrowed pits" where all waste water were channeled to and the land close to where you have "Tuscany" in fact all land after Ekankar was marshy land for rain/wastewater, but the land had been sold and sand-filled. No one bothered to ask where the water will go, if you know the place, you will know there is nowhere the water all the way from Haruk goes to, as the water from Rumaolu/Nkpolu road and these are Ohia mini (waterlogged) areas. that was the reason Apara became flooded years back, in the past when those "borrow pits" were there these things do not happen. This is the consequence of greed of my brothers who sold land and those who kept quite as if it wasn't their business. They should simply channel the waste water properly.

Anmeka oooo!!!!

They even come back and sell the road if care is not taken.

With the funds at the disposal of Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Lagos, these states should be competing with other developed states in the world.

What you find are glorified slums with hyper inflated mediocre projects and an army of praise singers.

That's a Federal government road.
Buhari should do a drainage.

That place is a failed portion along East West Road.

The water just stays there 24 hours, 24/7.

Flash flooding is different and lasts hours.
You are wrong, its rainwater from flood, there is no origination of water where the water stands!

Lol...

Ameachi is much better than Wike when it has to do with Administration and National Politics... While Wike is much better in grassroot politics...

In terms of achievement, although Wike is trying but even if he is given a third term, he will still not get close to Ameachi grin
if Buhari had behaved like GEJ who allowed wike to rig ,do you think Wike would still be there? Shedding innocent folks blood is grassroot polutics? I disagree. Grassroot politics is bringing a supposedly nobody like Awara few hours into a general election to rattle a veteran like Wike
. Amaechi is better.

This particular Nkpolu road from T-junction at Rumu Agholu axis to the east-west road junction at the express has no water outlet for drainage system.

Back in 2015 when this road was rehabilitated, in the face of this anomaly in construction, the community were busy hailing the Governor as Mr Project without asking for where will the runoff emptied into?

I see these kinds of submission a lot on naira land with a lot of accompanying likes, which sums up the fact that this forum has a lot of ignorant folks. How much is the budget of all these states combined.. I will tell you that it is probably less that a borough in NY for example, NY police department lasan has a budget of 6B USD, These states combined I am certain do not have that capacity, you will know Nigeria is a poor country when you compare what we spend vis-a-vis the people we spend it for.. That's already a bad situation but then politicians would still now steal from what is not even adequate in the first place, forget all the hype about the billions of Naira, In real monetary value.. That money isn't just sufficient to begin with.

Nkpolu Rumuigbo
Nkpolu by interpretation means hill top .Geographically, Nkpolu Rumuigbo Junction is situated at a strategic place that is economically useful in terms of road network .

Beyond that,Nkpolu Rumuigbo Junction is a place where four ways meet. From Nkpolu Rumuigbo Junction you can access other part of Port Harcourt including ,Rumuala, GRA ,Port Harcourt LGA via Obi Wali Road.

You can also access the International Airport through Nkpolu/Rumuagholu/SARS Road .

The popular University of Port Harcourt and University Teaching Hospital can be access through the East/West Road .

From this same junction ,you can access Rumuokoro to other part of Port Harcourt including Onne Oil and Gas Sea Port.

Remember Nkpolu means hill top ,you will agree with me that, that is supposed to be the true position. Of course it was a place to identify with until early last year when the place got flooded.

Today Nkpolu Rumuigbo has become a valley of water and sometimes in the news it is called valley of blood as it were. This blood shed Must Stop!.

Looking at the flooding at Nkpolu Rumuigbo junction, no doubt ,few individuals may have contributed to the flooding by blocking water ways, some of them with government connections perhaps .

But we know that Government is for the people and not for individuals. Why then do we live as though we don’t have a government that is of the people.

What wrong has Nkpolu man or Nkpolu Rumuigbo as a community done to the Federal, State and Local Government that cannot be forgiven? Is the reproach not enough? People source of living are grounded for almost 2years, property, goods and cars destroyed on daily basis .What about the man hour loss?Think about the souls that have gone as a result of the flooding.

I also don't want to believe that the shooting & killing on Tuesday was to intimidate the community from any further cry against the abandonment of the failed part of Nkpolu Rumuigbo Road and failed part of the East/West Road?

However, it has become more worrisome that we have the former Super Minister of Transportation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Rt.Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi and back home here we have Mr Project, the working Governor of Rivers State Chief Barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike not to talk of our representatives at the National Assemblies and State Assembly.

These two men, the former minister and the Governor of the State are men of capacity. Both of them have carried out Federal Project as Governor and as Chief of Staff unanimously.

At the present, the Governor has carried out projects worth billions of Naira successfully.

In conclusion, Nkpolu Rumuigbo Junction and Nkpolu Rumuigbo Road is not a difficult thing for the Governor, Mr project to handle.

Dear Governor ,Mr Project ,this is part of your community, Nkpolu Rumuigbo in Apara Kingdom. I Am sure you are not taking pleasure in your people's plight, the excruciating pains and sufferings .

The Mr Project I know will at this critical point rise up to the occasion not minding the limited fund available or any hindrance and work towards delivering dividends of democracy to his people ,the Nkpolu Rumumigbo like you have always done.
Thank you sir, this is with utmost anticipation.

#We Stand For Justice
#WeStandForPeace

-Long Live Federal Republic of Nigeria
-Long Live River State
-Long Live Obio/Akpor
-Long Live Nkpolu Rumuigbo

That is the result of having no development masterplan for the city. Everybody builds wherever they find land. If you do not make way for water, it will make way for itself.
