Yes. I meet the requirements. But I didn't choose the ones that uses uni-assist. Bcz I don't know how it's been done
If you're going for summer, my advice is that you don't limit yourself. Courses are very limited for summer. I'm also going for engineering courses and the ones I found that are offered for summer, most use Uniassist and require English Test (IELTS/TOEFL). So check all the requirements for the schools and their application timelines.

Thats absolute not true!! your staying back all depends on the motive. They know there are genuine reasons of which PhD is one. Let your your plans after studies in your motivation letter correspond also to what you tell the VO
In ma case, I clear told the vo that i will want to continue with PhD after my studies. He asked where and I told him either in Germany, Austria or Switzerland. This is because the impact I want to make in my country, the master degree is not enough to give me the technical/scientific knowledge.
There are also instances where you can tell them after study, You will like to work or do research to gain more experience that you take back to your country. In this case you need to back up with good SOP and good explanation.

Whaaat!

Bro things have changed now. It's clear now that the embassy/VOs looks for the slightest excuse to reject you.
VOs are not the same, one vo may buy your PhD stuff and another may not. They understand applicants differently.

During, my interview, I wanted to tell the VO that after my studies, I'll proceed to Canada for my PhD(that's my intention) but on second thought I told her I'm going back to imo State to work with the ministry of environment.

I'm not saying you should not be sincere but some VOs are temperamental.

I don't think so. VOs don't even have powers to reject.

If you are honest and can prove beyond reasonable doubt that you deserve visum I think we'll get them.

Stop all this negative ominous cloak and dagger stuff. Hundreds upon hundreds of Indians gain visum to study in same country. Is it because german VOs in the south east asia like indians?

Not true.

We need to adopt honesty. I believe it's far easier than we are anticipating. Another thing I've noticed and I'm disgusted about is ppl are deliberately keeping or hoarding valuable information particularly useful visum transcripts that can revolutionize this waka.

It will be well.

Abeg who get link to heybaby12 transcript?

The Ph.D thing isn't the issue. During my interview with the lady on dreadlock, I mentioned I would love to acquire a Ph.D, and that if I got an offer in Germany that'd be perfect. I even mentioned it in my motivation letter. So no, that's not the issue.
Fabricio07:

"Due to your information provided on application, there are doubts in your case about the stated purpose of travel. In doing so, you were unable to plausibly demonstrate your intentions to study. The discretion could not be exercised in your favor. The application must therefore be rejected. The remaining grant requirements were not final"

She suggested PhD along with scholarship for that and I only agreed.
Thanks for your care.
it's well.

Noooo. It means if a government official wants to travel WITH his family then they'll be interviewed in Abuja embassy. This clearly does not apply to students except you live in Abuja (or any of the northern states mentioned) AND going for Msc/PhD (they don't interview Bsc applicants)

Look if you live in Abuja that is the only time you can go to their embassy over there period.

Forget those jargon.

As long as you applying for student visum and you don't live there you'll be sent home

You will not be invited to be interviewed. You'll apply under those categories on the normal diplo.Deutsche missions website

And get a date....whether you have applied for msc and you don't live in Abuja. You should not try to tick that appointment booking requirement box

.cheers

Your plateau mates have been having their appointments in Lagos. One of you guys over there even got rejected letter yesterday.

Maybe those listed can influence your having the interview in Abuja tho cheesy

Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by johnaolaniran: 4:56pm On Sep 27, 2019
You have a very impressive CGPA for Engineering Management for admission even in US. But let's focus on DE... most schools offering this course offer it has Technical Management or Business Administration and Engineering and they offer admissions for Winter most times. So search DAAD again for Technical Management, Manufacturing Technology, Production Engineering and Management, Technology and Innovation Management. Some schools like Harz University of Applied Sciences take summer applications. So search again. All the best.

hotboss:
Please, any school whose application for Summer is on? Anyone with such info should let me know.
Online application preffered. I have a CGPA or 3.788/5.00 with about 4 Fs.
I hv tried to check daad and shortlisted some schools whose applications are not open yet .

Since there is no much time, please brothers you can mention anyone you know.
Field: Engineering ( Mechanical, biomedical, process, production, engineering management)

@ Sassy92 Which area of Engineering are you going for. If you know any Msc course related to
Electrical Engineering outside of daad.de ( I have searched the ones there) kindly share with me.

There are two questions you probably didn't answer well.
Why chemistry and why Germany?
Can u please tell us what your answers were and what School you're going to

I don't think so.
I have ready a thousand transcript here and beyond to not know how to answer those questions.

Infact, she was the one that suggested the PhD after I told her that I am doing the same Chemistry in masters so as to perfect my trade and qualify to work as lecturer in that course.

Now, I am beginning to think that I got rejected because they probably think I wouldn't meet up with the enrollment deadline which is this October end.
I told the VO that I have started the enrollment and was only waiting for the enrollment certificate to be sent to me... perhaps she didn't hear or take note of that.

I am going to Free University, Berlin.
