That was the same axis I was attacked on my way to Lagos on April 30th 2018, I broke my right ankle while running for my dear life. I lost a lot but grateful cos I could have been shot.

Those people are heartless and surprisingly, both the DPO at Kajola police station and the villagers are aware of the nefarious activities of these herdsmen but can't seem to do anything.
I'm always very scared of traveling since that incident...

This is no news. It’s information that has been out there. There have been lots of complaints about the locals in Ondo, Edo and Delta states about strange Fulani men camping in the forests.
Emerging from bushes and shooting at vehicles is the modus operandi of these bandits.
They did that along Abuja-Nasarawa-kaduna roads forcing many to use the trains. Even the trains were reported to be escorted by helicopters initially. All these could be searched and read.

People were shot at along those roads, vehicles stopped and passengers panicked and ran into the bushes. Some of them were captured by Fulani bandits. Victims narrated their various experiences and these could be retrieved online.

There was a viral video of similar attack in which the mobile police escorts returned fire causing the bandits to retreat.

In a sane country, the Nigeria security forces would’ve launched an extensive manhunt inside those forests/area to apprehend the bad guys.
I believe strongly that this recent attack was carried out by the same group of bandits.

Can we stop calling these guys herdsmen! A Fulani bandit who probably relocated from north east or some part of west Africa with the help of their brothers here in Nigeria is different from a herdsman.

But at least they are Fulani, and they ALL disguise as Herdsmen, (herding is essentially almost always their alibi or 'day job') so they are indeed Fulani Herdsmen... Because the line between Fulani bandit and Fulani herdsman is very very thin. So what gives?

The real and 'fake' Fulani Herdsmen are all masters of the bushes, which they have illegally colonised, trampling on people's farms and navigating through all thick forests across Nigeria supposedly in search of grazing outlets for their cattle but also as crime camps. So really, again I ask, what is the difference between Fulani bandits and Fulani Herdsmen, since they so easily exchange roles and exchange garb according to time of day and as the need arises?

Imagine a Yoruba gang of kidnappers controlling a vast camp in the bushes of Katsina and making life miserable for Fulani travellers and farmers in that axis?

So that is the issue.

Frankly, we don't care what Fulani 'bandits' do to any fool in Zamfara or Katsina. That's their business, just how the Boko Haram scourge is their business in Borno and adjoining States.

What is unacceptable and reprehensible is for these Fulani fools to troop to the South, establish bases on Southern land, and make lives miserable for Southerners! How does that sound? Why shouldn't Southerners despise such animals? I swear to God I now regard these Fulani bastards as more worthless than maggots. What is going on is part of their expansionist agenda. That's why they are running riot all over the South. This is not simple criminality, otherwise they would have remained in their miserable comfort zone in their miserable North!

So that's it. It is a tribal issue and so it shall remain, until these Fulani bastards vacate the South and go back to their North to kidnap and kill their people there.
