The search for the 2019 Indomie heroes is ongoing. It is the 12th edition of the Indomie Independence Day Award (IIDA) for Heroes in Nigeria. The Award is for the three most heroic stories of children across the Physical, social and intellectual bravery category. Furthermore, It seeks to recognise the courage of children in making life better for their families, society or country at large. IIDA 2019 comes with a financial benefit of N1 million naira in scholarship to the Awardees. Consequently, easing the burdens of their parents or guardians.

Background on the Heroes Award
Indomie Heroes Award was set up as a way to discover, groom and recognise children of great virtue and value to the country. The initiative was established in 2008 and has since gained a lot of public awareness. The meritorious act of children, who have shown determination in the face of terror and discouragement have been brought to limelight ever since then. Thus, making them models for others.

Indomie Independence day Award holds as a national event which has witnessed participation from the six Geo-political zones,. The event takes place in October to mark the Nigeria Independence. since, Nigeria got its independence on October 1960. It has rewarded about 40 Heroic children with scholarship and other donations since inception.
