So Many Companions, Yet Always Looking For More. by RESHARPENED: 8:52pm On Jul 18, 2019
Something happened today.
I met with a colleague who needed help with something I could help out with. Even though I was neck-deep in work that made sure I wouldn't be having any free time, anytime soon, I tried my best to help him out.

He sat near me when it was time to 'DELIVER'. Something happened, I got distracted and I missed a vital part of the presentation that made it completely impossible to 'DELIVER'. All attempts I made to get access to the part I missed led to a DEAD END. I was a little bit disappointed but I was not completely worried.

Words cannot describe how shocked I was when I stepped out. I saw the same colleague I was helping out this morning eagerly describing how I had FAILED with a degree of intensity and enthusiasm that showed his level of excitement concerning what he perceived as MY FAILURE. He completely neglected the fact of his own shortcoming and enthusiastically emphasized mine. The people he was talking to looked at me when I moved towards them, then one asked 'How was it?'. I looked at their faces and I saw in their eyes the glint of satisfaction concerning the 'FATAL FAILURE OF AN IMPECCABLE ICON', supposedly. I just replied with what they longed to hear 'VERY BAD' and walked away.

Then I realized that "no matter how happy people seem to be about your success, and the extent they go to show it, THE HAPPINESS IS SELDOM GENUINE. they want you at the SAME LEVEL with them".

They say success has many friends and I laugh! Success is like Sugar. A cube of Sugar can attract a colony of Ants, they would practically swarm over it. But are they friends? Absolutely Not. They want to see it DISAPPEAR. They WANT it inside of them. They want to CONSUME it.

Success is like that. People would get closer to you. Not because they love you or even like you but because they want to get a seat in the front row of your existence so they can be the ones to render a first hand description of your scalding defeat and destruction. As a Successful person, people, especially those who are close to you HATE you. They would trade their left eye and right balls just to see you Fail. They are threatened by you. People around you WANT TO HAVE WHAT YOU HAVE. They WANT TO BE WHO YOU ARE. It is paradoxical but it's the reality. 'THEY HATE YOU BUT THEY WANT TO BE YOU'.

What happened today, the reactions of people I have never wronged, their glee at my defeat showed me that Success is always surrounded by FIENDS in the guise of FRIENDS.

Be careful, as a Success. Walk in the consciousness of this fact and PLOT YOUR REVENGE!
Become even MORE SUCCESSFUL. It makes their lives a living HELL. And anybody who wants to see you fail deserves what they get!.

But be CAREFUL!

Don't let their REACTIONS dictate your own ACTIONS.

RETREAT, if you must.

REBOOT, if you want.

RESTRATEGIZE, don't hesitate.

AND

REBOUND!!! Like the FORCE OF NATURE.
.
RESCUSCUTATE your Success, REVITALIZE your Victory and let every single ENEMY OF GREATNESS RECOIL in RESIGNATION.

At least, that's what I intend to do.

"The home FIELD of FAILURE is already FILLED. Yet, it is ALWAYS looking for MORE companions".

I will NOT be one of those companions and NEITHER SHOULD YOU!!!
