Getting ones PC infected with malware or Ransomware can be devastating. Today I will teach you how to deal with this when you find yourself in such situation in few steps.

Preventive Measures:

* Install Antivirus & Anti-malware on your computer system. I.e. Smadav, Total 360 Security, Malwarebyte etc.

* Don't download files from websites with no SSL certificate.
How to know if a website has SSL installed.
The web address of any website that has it installed will have a padlock logo in green color before the website address whenever you visited the website and it's https will have (s) instead of just "http " with no (s) look at the address of Nairaland in your browser above.

Best Practice after you have got your PC infected with Malware or any virus at all

*First of all, turn off your internet connectivity and

*Turn of your computer system or whichever comes first *wink*

*Power ON you PC and continue to be pressing F7 to boot from SAFE MODE

*Scan the whole PC with Malwarebyte Antivirus

*After you're satisfied that the virus has been removed, reboot your OS to normal mode

This will now lead us to how you can decrypt your files if they have been encrypted with Ransomware.
