A broiler domestic is any chicken that is breed and raised specifically for meat production.

Many typical broilers have white feathers and yellowish skin.

Most commercial broilers reach slaughter-weight between four and six weeks of age, although slower growing breeds reach slaughter-weight at approximately 14 weeks of age.

Because the meat broilers are this young at slaughter (roughly 500g), their behaviour and physiology are that of an immature bird. Due to extensive breeding selection for rapid early growth and the husbandry used to sustain this, broilers are susceptible to several welfare concerns, particularly skeletal malformation and dysfunction, skin and eye lesions, and congestive heart conditions. Management of ventilation, housing, stocking density and in-house procedures must be evaluated regularly to support good welfare of the flock. The breeding stock (broiler-breeders) grow to maturity and beyond but also have welfare issues related to the frustration of a high feeding motivation and beak trimming.

I got scammed by OLATUNDE1122 here just because he advertised himself as an offtaker. My sister was in hospital so I had to entrust my broilers with my workers. He asked for them to deliver to abbatoir so they did not know they had to communicate to me that the delivery was made to an abbatoir and not the guys office. As I'm talking to you guys, despite the stress of feeding them during the cash crunch, my night sleeps in the forum. This old Nairalander scammed.me.of my hard earned money.


From one week, to two weeks, to three weeks, to they have not been sold. To they paid check it will take one week to clear..one week one new story. It's now entering the seventh week. Broiler offtaker has scammed. I have to labour hardly to pay some people who gave me feed in advance.

Need I say that I sold it 40% less thàn regular price at throw away price because I had work issues at the time and had no means to feed them three extra weeks.

My dear people it's now seven weeks all my labor went in vain. My late night sleeps in the forest.
