Inasmuch as the fact that i hate this and want a change of attitude from our Nigerian parents................. It seems this character is in their genes especially our Nigerian mothers, i could remember vividly when i was seeking admission into the university, my mom frustrated and disrespected me at the slightest provocation, big insults and even assaults infront of my friends and our neighbours......... There was a day i was really down with headache and i couldn't go out,so she asked me to go fetch water to which i declined , telling her i had headache................. Come see insults that day....... It was really frustrating,i felt like moving outta the house completely................. Now fast forward to when and got admission and started earning a lil dough through E-hustle......i tell you people, their attitude changed completely....... Like the respect i got from em was just too much......... If i enter house from school now, i don't do any housechores and my mum doesn't complain bouh it,m i do anything i like....... Just anything................. Now its my younger bro that she's scolding and shouting................. This happens in almost every family in Nigeria and i wonder why......... Its really bad and sad.................

She's only trying to motivate you the best way she knows how

Now that she's still alive call her and tell her "thank you" and that you love her. Don't ask me why

Make sure you finish school and don’t come back to seat at home cos the insults will resume

True that but we cannot always have what we want in life.

I remember someone in my neighbourhood who killed himself because his parents refused to take him to the US.

He and his brother were living in their house which was well stocked with food and their bills were paid.

Person Wey go kill himself go kill himself regardless of the situation
