Five persons died in an accident at Tyowaye along Ugbema road, Benue State on Monday, July 22.

The accident occurred when the vehicle plunged into a river after the driver reportedly lost control due to a mechanical fault.

What a backward country!

How are we to know these people were not choked, strangled or suffocated before being loaded into the car and pushed into the river in the dead of the night?

Is there any autopsy done to ascertain the actual cause of death, is there water in their lungs to show they drowned as against manual strangulation?

There might be more to this that saying "eyeaaa", or "maybe it's their village witches at work"
