Good day guys, I will go straight to the point..I recently bought a 3 year hosting and domain with hub8 but it didn't come with SSL encryption (Https), I tried getting from them but they have no option to purchase for 3 years and I don't want an annual plan,I've been trying to get to their customer care but it's hopeless,pls anyone with a reliable referral that offers purchase of upto 3 years should kindly hit me up...

Okay. Go to your admin panel, click on plugin, Add new, and search for the plugin called Really Simple SSL. Install and activate it. They will ask you to install SSL, do that and your site will display the locked green key for SSL.

If really simple SSL doesn't detect SSL from your Cpanel e no go work.

First of all, issue a certificate from Cpanel under Security using Let's Encrypt. Then use Really Simple SSL. Problem solved.

Always run the same procedure for subdomains

I've just paid for a 3 year plan with another hosting company, can't buy another just to get free SSL, I think I will rather buy just the SSL for 3 years..thanks thou

someone has already told you what to do. make use of let's encrypt to issue SSL certificate from your cpanel. then you can go to database and change your website url http to https from wp options.

then you can tweak your htaccess file to always redirect http to https when someone visit your site.
