Let's say you need a pencil, and searching your bag, you check every available pocket zip then you found it under an inner hole tucked somewhere. So google have a database of millions of keywords of searchers and buyers use to find what they want. So they created Google keyword tool Now each search bring up results and competing pages. What do I mean? When you search for coconut oil. It brings result but how many pages have the word in title, body and in content . 1 Like |

So from our example. Coconut oil give us 352 000,000 results in google search. But how many pages have it in title? We search for it in desktop browser . Type "coconut oil" in quotes. We have 47 million results. The joker is that this 47 million is arranged accordingly first page 1-10 . Next page 11-20 etc. Now let me ask you. When you are searching for information in google.how many pages do you check? Most times the first page is ok. |

Do you know that many internet users uses the search feature on Amazon.com Youtube.com Facebook.com Ebay.com Google.com etc now if i search for your blog assuming you have one. And you are not on page 1-2. You will be complaining that blogging does not work There are people complaining that affiliate marketing does not work, If you cannot be found insearch result and at page 1. Forget it. I discovered i make more money anytime my blog and affiliate post are in the first page Now there is a term that determines where you rank look at these results [img][/img] COMPETITION and SEO The number of competing results. Competition is not an enemy. But if its too strong then no sales for you. I wrote a book that has many keywords I thought since the keywords are long they are less competitive. I was wrong! After 30days of zero sales. Yes $00 dollars from the book. I checked to see the problem It was when i discovered that there was no room for me a new comer. What do i mean The books there were carrying 80- 200 reviews. Many of them were standing like galant soldiers I was shocked. Oh my God. How did i write a book without checking whether a new book can rank in that keyword. Yes Check whether your new book can rank in that keyword. So keyword research is very important Miss it and all your effort is lost. Now Homework Go to amazon.com Type the topic you want to write on Tell me how many results of books you see Is there any book that has less than ten reviews?
