"Water e no get enemy" was one of the jazzy tunes that defined the good old days of Lagos. My special tribute to Tony Oladipo Allen, the founder of Afro beat. His trap drumming style and Fela's avant-garde tenor and alto sax improvisation, created our unique Afro beat. The two are a special gift to us. Thank u lord 3 Likes |

BruncleZuma: The guitar player was weak. His timing was way off during that solo he played, and he was even throwing off the who band for a couple of moments there. The horn section was superb though, and they did justice to that timeless Fela classic. Fela's jazz influences are so apparent in this tune, and it is no wonder, since Fela was a graduate of a music academy in London, before heading to Nigeria as a young musician in the 1960s. |
