IT IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE SOPHISTICATED MEDICAL CARE UNITS THAT CAN HANDLE THEIR TATTOO RELATED DISEASES IN CASE IT COMES UP. THE OTHER REASON IS BECAUSE THEY HAVE VISIONARY LEADERS THAT COULD TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEM AND FAMILY DURING AND AFTER THEIR SERVICE TO THEIR NATION.

Tattoo is their culture and way of life. It isn't our culture or way of life.

Must we follow everything they do. Must we be dogmatic?

Their military prowess has nothing to do with their tattoos. That's one problem of many Nigerians; they copy the wrong thing from the right people.

It is a cultural thing...You see whites with tattoos in multinational companies where blacks frown at such in Nigeria.Oyibos believe in output and core values instead of irrelevant issues like tattoos.

They’re very open minded and adventurous.

If you have a fixed mindset like most Nigerians, you cannot make it there

Are you positive about the fact that tattoos aren't our culture or way of life? How about the ancient tribal people? Didn't they have tattoos drawn on their bodies in form of arts or scarification? How about ancient Kanuris and Shuwa Arabs?

It's very simple.
They care about what you can offer and how well you can handle the job.
Tats doesn't stop you from pulling the trigger or affects how you think.
You go into us army training camps and you come out with muscles, knowledge, endurance, accuracy, intelligence, love for America.
But in Nigeria you are turned into an animal, you look like people who just came out of prisons, they beat hell out of you make you hate Nigerians.
They make them believe there is a gap between the civilians and they army.
You can meet a fully kitted us soldier and ask him for ciggerete or lighter he will give you with a smile.

But my mum and grand mum had tattoos.

tattoo is part of Yoruba's culture.

Culture evolves, it's dynamic.

science and technology, Christianity, Islam e.t.c are not part of our culture in Nigerian, but we embraced them with open hands; how do you explain that?

western culture is the way out!

He didnt ask why they are well coordinated.

He didn't ask about their technological prowess.

Didn't bother about their research institute.

Doesn't care to know how they are funded.

As a Naija guy he's more interested in Tattoos.

Why copy their act of war? Tattoo isn't a problem in any society, it's our leaders that's the problem, not tattoo.

* He didn't ask how the soldiers are disciplined treating their citizens like humans and not like animals like their Nigerian counterpart.

Culture? My Grandmother's tattoo is very visible till date. Her mother (my great grandma) had one WHICH I SAW before she died..

My grandfather's tattoos were up until death.

When it comes to tattoos, culture doesn't attach

I think the Nigerian mentality is no responsible person should have a tattoo hence u shudnt be working for the govt... The U. S believe tattoos are only for beautification n it does not define the individual personality... Sometimes they do tell a story behind the tats
It's just the belief -system of each society
