very beautiful pictures OP. welldone.

Now that you're home, in your own little way, what measures have you proposed to put in place to make our beloved country look this beautiful?

I noticed most people go see how beautiful and organized these places are, yet come back and do absolutely nothing to make our nation as good as those.

Sir.... we are not younger than Rwanda, Singapore and even though we're bigger than mushroom EU countries like Romania

With countries like France, it's obviously an unfair comparison but we still need to up our game.

I'd be glad if you can sum up everything you spent especially on accomodation. I'd love to try this soon
In total, it was like €166 (about N68k) for accommodation

When i said it is a young country, i meant in terms of technological advancement. Nigeria as a country has not been existing since prehistoric times. We were just clusters of kingdoms in a vast region and people were for the betterment of their kingdoms.

You cannot say the same for these countries. France began a republic in 1792 and the construction of the underground Metro in Paris began in 1898 alongside the many discoveries. Swiss became a country in 1291. These countries also went through "colonization" before they became stand-alone and started their own "colonization".

Question is when these constructions were going on, were there nobody living in this part of the world called Nigeria? If yes, what were they doing as at that time? I guess killing twins.

I thought so... it's not the same as when you visit a place and feel it yourself.
There's still a reason people pay money to watch live football and performances.

Wow... pretty decent. The fear of Switzerland's expensive nature has gripped me for long.
....and I think your smart moves with night travel helped too. Thanks a lot

You should consider visiting Budapest, Vienna and Prague if you haven't. They are amazingly beautiful (especially Budapest) and far less expensive (not Vienna though) and they are hours apart by bus.

Nigeria has been existing since prehistoric times just like France and Switzerland, which have also gone through several changes in their composition over time.
Well, if you read the Bible, it's only Egypt and Ethiopia that was mentioned as far back 5000 years ago.
Basically implies that Even though Nigeria and other African countries were physically existing, it was more of unpopulated
bushes

This area got populated fairly recently by people just migrating/wandering about without any particular interest in building anything.
As you will notice, there are no horses or donkeys in south Nigeria. That implies, no form of transportation.
but Moses and Pharaoh were firing Horses up in Egypt with even Chariot sef.

France is modern day Roman Empire.

Gurara Falls, Idanre Hills, Ikogosi Springs, Obudu Cattle Ranch, Tarkwa Bay are just a few I can name off top of my head. Alas I agree.

There are so many beautiful things, places and people in our country. Just keep your eyes and mind open and move around to see them.
Bon voyage.

I didn't buy much things in Swiss so expenses were kept to a minimum.

I should visit Prague soon.

see countries abeg...see buses charging on-the-go.

I have always believed in this country, I always taught it would be great..but I never believed the words "Nigeria will never get better" would ever come out from my mouth..but it did just last Friday. I realized Nigeria can NEVER get better, we should face reality and stop sugar coating what's not. having faith is different, working towards making that faith come to pass is another thing.

if I tell you what I passed through last Friday cos I wanted to have a rail experience to Kano, you'll cry for me.

True

I have been to Paris.

Those trips you just fly in, stay in hotel, move around for a couple of days, and fly back.

This thread is really making me to want to explore France well.
Yeah, i know those kind of trips. Lol. You should explore other parts of France. Paris is overrated in my own opinion.

I have been to Geneva, Switzerland. Uts a very nice place but very expensive. However, there are some cheap hostels you can stay in to cut cost.

When I went in 2007, it used to require its own Visa but from 2008 you can access Switzerland with a schegen visa.

MrBrownJay1:
Quick tip
When visiting Geneva, remember that it is a very expensive city, and staying on the French side is cheaper. So get a hotel or place to stay in Ferney Voltaire/Ornex (France) for example, and just commute to Geneva (5mins Uber ride).

You live in the tropics (the red portion of the map below). The sun shines perpendicular to the ground 90% of the year
OP went above this region. The Sun shines at an angle. It is never directly over your head.
Also, Nigeria is below the Sahara desert. Wind from the Sahara carries dust particles.
All the dust is in the air 24/7.
OP went to a region away from the wind of the Sahara. No single dust in the air.

These western nations don't joke with their monuments oh. These things brings along a sense of pride. I wish Africa can emulate this schengen visa thing, life would be easier.
