Ahead of the new 2019/20 Premier League season starting on Friday, we are going to take a look at the new rules, players, managers and incoming improvements to the league. Plus all you can look forward to in the new Premier League season.

New Rules For the 2019/2020 Epl Season- Any New rules to Know??

Change is a constant, and as such there has been some modification to a number of rules in the Game.

-Handball
A player is penalized if and only if he deliberately touches the ball. A free kick would also be given if a team create a chance or score a goal from an accidental handball. Any incident where a player's arms have been raised above shoulder-height is also likely to be given, or if they have made their body 'unnaturally' bigger.

However, if the ball hits a player's hand or arm from close-range, their arm is close to the body or used to support their body while falling will usually not be punished.(Source: skysports.com)

-Substitutions
Players would be required to leave the pitch by the nearest point on the touchline unless when allowed to leave through the half-way line for safety or injury reasons.

-Goal kicks
The ball is considered to be in play as soon as it is kicked and moves. Opposition players still in the area for any reason are permitted, and can intercept the goal kick.

-Yellows and reds card
If the attacking team wishes and the referee have not started to issue the card, they can take a quick free-kick at this point so long as it creates a goalscoring opportunity. The referee will then issue the card when the ball next goes out of play.

However, if the referee was about to send off the player who has given away the foul for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity, they will only receive a yellow card if the attacking team takes the quick free-kick.

VAR is HERE

Get ready, VAR would be coming to the premier league this season. After much controversies caused by officiating overtime, premier league clubs voted for the VAR to be used.

The VAR has caused alot of controversies in the past, and its set to continue as football hopes to get to the level of non- controversial officiating. It would be responsible as always for checking and verifying penalties, goals, red cards and lines men errors.

After halftime or full time, the centre referee can call back a player to the pitch after reviewing an incident that happened during the game to overturn a decision made during the match.

Video clips and other graphics work would also be shown to explain the decision of the referee and the reason behind them.

For now referees conversation won't be audible to the fans and supporters, but it could happen in the future.

The New Teams

A couple of teams would be making their return to English top division after a long time of being away. Play-offs champions Aston Villa would be back to the Premier League this season as well as Norwich and Sheffield United.

-Aston Villa
Dean Smith and John Terry lead Aston Villa team are back to the EPL after a win at Wembly during the play off finals. They are not coming unprepared, having been in the premier league before, they are making some squad enhancement and strengthening to prepare them for the new season.

Anwar El Ghazi and Tyrone Mings have re-joined the club on a permanent basis, supplemented by some young English talent in Matt Target and Ezri Konsa, along with Wesley and Trezeguet.

With most of last season's squad still intact, Aston Villa are ready to make a big statement. To re-establish themselves in England's top flight.

Norwich City
After 4 years of being relegated, Norwhich is back. They emerged as the winners of the sky bet championship, 5 points ahead of 2nd place Sheffield United.

So far they’ve made only 3 new signings, but they have also extended the contract of a number of star players like Teemu Pukki , who was sky bet championship player of the season, Mario Vrancic and Emi Buendia. They have all extended their stay at the carrow road.

Sheffield United
The 2006-2007 season was the last time Sheffield united made an appearance in the EPL. 14 years after. They are back. Their major goal of this season according to their striker Billy Sharp, is to become an established premier league team and remain in the top flight.

After a long season battle for second place, a 2-0 win against Ipswich Town on April 27 - followed by Leeds' controversial 1-1 draw with Aston Villa the next day - sealed an automatic return for Chris Wilder's side.

There have been a few left-field signings for Sheffield United, with former Manchester United and West Ham midfielder Ravel Morrison signing a one-year deal after a successful trial and 36-year-old Phil Jagielka re-joining the club after 12 years with Everton.

Perhaps their most exciting incomer is Dean Henderson, who returns to the club on loan from Manchester United. Couple this with the talents of Oli McBurnie and Callum Robinson, and Sheffield United are giving themselves the best chance of Premier League survival.

New Men In Charge

Frank Lampard
Frank Lampard and Jody Morris will be at the helm of affairs at Chelsea this season.
It’s a new dawn at Chelsea, as one of the club legends takes charge of the team. Very popular all around the Stanford Bridge.
His major aim would be to get them back to the top. He has a good pedigree, leading Derby County to the championship playoff final. But it would be a new challenge at the bridge.

He’s in a tricky situation at the moment, with Chelsea facing a 2 season transfer ban and Chelsea's star player, Eden Hazard, moving to Real Madrid. But Lampard - along with his assistant, Jody Morris - have a track record of sourcing young talent and may need to rely on the club's extensive academy to help them.

According to Lampards fomer boss, Jose Mourinho , Frank Lampard has 'the potential' to be a success at Chelsea and believes their only problem has been losing Eden Hazard.
One thing is for certain: it will be very exciting to see Lampard on the touchline as the Chelsea manager with a meeting with former team-mate and good friend John Terry on the cards later In The Season.

Steve Bruce
After parting ways with Rafel Benitez, Newcastle has to acquired the services of a premier league guru, Steve Bruce. In contrast to Lampard, Steve Bruce is a Premier League old hat. He has managed Birmingham, Wigan, Sunderland and Hull in the top flight and is about to have another crack at it with Newcastle.

He made a statement as soon as he arrived by quickly smashing the club's transfer record, bringing in striker Joelinton from Hoffenheim for £40m. It will go some way to replace the attackers who have left this summer.

It remains to be seen how Bruce will set up at St James' Park and if the fans will warm to him, but there is no doubting that they have a very experienced head to guide them through the season.

The New Lads

Despite a transfer ban, Chelsea were able to pull off a deal for Christian Pulisic. He has finally arrived at Chelsea with Mateo Kovacicmaking making his stay permanent. Premier League champions, City have added Rodri to their squad.

Tottenham also have not been left out as they have also opened their wallets for the first time in 18 months, smashing their club record fee for Tanguy Ndombele.

After much suspense and expectation, Nicolas Pepe joined Arsenal for a club-record fee.
It seems to be a window of smashing club records as Newcastle and West Ham also broke their club records - for Joelinton and Sebastien Haller respectively - along with the likes of Allan Saint-Maximin and Pablo Fornals.

Manchester United have brought in young starlets in Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, although the latter already has a season and a half of Premier League football under his belt.

Meanwhile Daniel James has impressed greatly during the pre-season for Man Utd
Arsenal hasn’t been doing badly this transfer window, bringing in Nicolas Pepe for a club record fee and Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid. Wolves have - crucially - made Raul Jimenezand Leander Dendoncker permanent signings.

Everton have also purchased Andre Gomesafter a successful loan spell from Barcelona, with more impressive signings in Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Moise Kean joining him in the dressing room. Some familiar Premier League names in Ayoze Perez and Jay Rodriguez have also signed - or re-signed in Rodriguez's case - for Leicester and Burnley respectively.

Coutinho has been a subject of speculations this summer. The brazillian has been linked with a return to the premier league with Tottenham and Arsenal leading the chase. Away in Italy, Juventus has been reported to have agreed a 70m bid by tottenham for Pablo Dybala. Its 48 hrs till deadline and a lot can still happen.

Man united also completed the move for liechester city defender Harty Maguire, for £80M. Making him the most expensive defender in the world.

New Balls
It was a record breaking season of goals last time out, the epl would feature a new ball. The nike Merlin. It is the first of its skind. Made only for England and it correlates with the 20th anniversary of the partenership between Nike and Premier League.
