It doesn’t mean that someone else’s inaction nullifies the rape that happened to them. It just makes it harder to prove. Whether it eventually gets proven or not, it doesn’t change the fact that it happened to them.
Simple as that.

The problem with such is that innocent people can be accused...we don't want innocent people accused, vilified and treated as rapists. We have read countless of such incidents

That's the reason I posit that THE ONLY way to deal with genuine rape cases is to report such incidences as soon as it happens...We need to tell our daughters, our sisters to please report to us as their guardians...Failure to do so, means it will eventually turn out to be tales by moonlight

We want strong laws against rape, we want rapists punished severely for such heinous crimes...The only way to do that, is do it through the proper channel

If a woman braves public humiliation to come out to openly say a man raped her, she deserves a hearing. More so if at the time the man was her pastor, teacher, boss or such - and she was 17 years old... and other women are also accusing the man...

Rape is a case against humanity and should be punished by life sentence, However, if we all want to be real, we will admit how some (Not most) of these stories don't add up.
