Nominations for the 2019 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) has been released, and Burna Boy, Rema and Wizkid dominate the pan-African list.

AFRIMMA stands out as the sole award ceremony in the Diaspora that recognises African talents in Afrobeats, Assiko, Bongo, Decale, Funana, Genge, Highlife, Hiplife, Kwaito, Lingala and Soukous. This year’s award ceremony is expected to hold on 26th and 27th of October 2019 at the Dallas Bomb Factory, TX.

Released on Wednesday, the nomination is dominated by Nigerians, with at least three slots in three categories. Among these is the newcomer’s category where Rema, Zlatan, and Fireboy DML represent Nigeria. Others include Kwesi Arthur (Ghana), Naiboi (Kenya), Ya Levis (Congo), Rui Orlando (Angola), Soraia Ramos (Cape Verde), Gaz Mawete (Congo) and Sho Madjozi (South Africa).
