What is the fuss about for heaven's sake? People set up all manner of organisations and award whatever they want to award. Many Nigerians are going about with "Dr" prefix to their names - dubious doctorates dished out by dubious universities. An Igbo man and a yoruba man (chinua Achebe and Wole Soyinka) with no doctorate degrees were awarded professorships by unibadan - does this make the university fake?

I read the initial report of the award on this forum and shook my head.It was completely meaningless. Sad most Nigerians know nothing about science.That's why we rely on pastors and Imams to guide us in matters that are in the domain of science.
