Ministers don't have direct access to the president, they usually go through the Chief of Staff or the Secretary to the Govt.

What exactly is wrong with Ministers who intend to see the president booking appointments through the COS? Do you want them to book appointments through the the First Lady or ADC? Ministers can’t just barge into the president’s office. The daily routine of the president is planned by the office of the chief of staff. If you’re not booked to see the president, you cannot see the president irrespective of who you are except in some very special cases.
