The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has finally admitted raiding former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode's home after denying the report earlier.

Though eyewitnesses said the anti-graft agency's operatives were stopped by residents of Epe (Ambode's hometown), the EFCC claimed they were attacked by Ambode's hoodlums in a statement released by its head of media and publicity Wilson Uwajuren. He further disclosed that three officers were injured in the attack, while the EFCC official vehicle was damaged, Igbere TV reports.

Wilson said “the EFCC had obtained valid warrant to conduct search on Ambode’s residences in Park View, Ikoyi and country home in Epe, as part of ongoing investigation of alleged malfeasance”.

“The attack was totally unprovoked as the Commission’s operatives were civic and did not molest anybody. The Commission therefore frowns at the attempt to manipulate the video of the search to create the wrong impression that officers of the agency molested residents at the Epe home of the governor.

It is also not true that the search was an attempt to plant foreign currencies in the home of the former governor,” he added.

When this report first emerged here, one bigot mentioned that Yoruba are cowards.
I'm very sure if he is intelligent, he will foresee that Ambode is now in trouble! Most especially if he is guilty of the allegations.
Now check these out:
1, it was first reported that epe residents attacked Efcc officials
2, ambode came out to attest that Efcc officials came to his house with search warrant and everything went peacefully
3, moment later, some useless persons came on board as 'epe lawyers' (sorry, iv not heard of that chambers before), also confirmed that Efcc came with search warrant. That they wanted to inject foreign currencies (they said that they saw the money but couldn't snap it in 2019) in blue bag but refuted / resisted them.
4, now, Efcc is confirming that they went to ambodes house with search warrant but were attacked by residents and three officers were injured.
If you are the commission, head of government, how would you react?
It is very possible that ambode is corrupt and would have embezzled some monies, does that mean he should go Scot free just because you hate buhari and you love to politicize every moment of your lives?
