Buhari should have appointed methuselah as minister for YOUTHS and sports so that he can prove to the world that as large as nigeria is,he couldn't find a young and up-to-date appointee who would impact our youths with current norms,skills and influence,but will take them back to the jurasic age.

You people are chasing irrelevant issues. What is the big deal about age? Experience and expertise are what is needed to head a ministry. Ministry for youth does not mean that it must be headed by a youth.

The issue you people should be concerned about is that Mr Dare does not seem to have any sporting highlights. This is like putting square pegs in round holes.

Born on May 29, 1966, Dare takes over from the immediate past minister, Mr Solomon Dalung, who lost his re-nomination bid last month.

Dare, who hails from Ogbomoso North Local Government Area of Oyo State, was the Executive Commissioner of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), until his nomination as minister.

He had once served as Media Adviser and Chief of Staff to former governor of Lagos and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in International Studies from Ahmadu Bello University in 1991. He then proceeded to obtain a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the University of Jos. He later proceeded to Harvard University between 2000 and 2001 where he studied Media and Public Policy.

Mr. Dare has decades of experience in multimedia journalism spanning about 25 years (from 1991 to 2016).

Igbere TV had reported that President Buhari, on Wednesday, formally assigned portfolios to all 43 ministerial-designates, three months after his inauguration for a second term.

He had last month, sent the list of ministers to the Nigerian Senate for screening, in an exercise that lasted five days.

Nothing in his CV to suggest he has passion for sports and youths. One would have thought that Buhari would appoint right persons into right positions. Are there no qualified people in the Ministry of Sports that can be appointed? I am not sure Buhari's second term will end any better than the first one; and that is if the Supreme God doesn't kick him out before that time.

A reasonable government would give the ministry of sports and youth to a youth, no someone that would run 50M and have a great attack.
