How come the immigration officers of the Emirates could not verify directly with the embassy.
Also, it's an e-passport, how come they can't authenticate it online? Do they verify passports by just looking at the pix or design? How do they carry out authentication for countries that have no embassy or consulate in their country?

If you follow the story well you will understand better, Nigeria immigration didn’t share the specimen for the new passport to other embassies.
Until the specimen is shared it will now be part of the only verification. Check the letter shared by UAE embassy..

Something is not adding up with this story....I work wit a travel agency and I know of clients who have visited UAE with the new passport alrdy. I was even at the airport last week to help a blind passenger with the new passport going to to UAE for treatment with some airport procedure.
That passenger may have an issue with her visa and not the passport as being claimed

I can authoritatively tell you that it's not true, I clear Nigerian passport everyday at the international airport, there is nothing like that , probably she has issue with her Visa. Most Nigerians travel on Dubai Visa without any legitimate purpose of going, many abscond with tourism visas , many fake business travel, in fact a lot of bullshit is going on.

Maybe Nigerians needs to beat their politicians up more, Like The Nigerians in Germany.

The Lady ought not to have been deported had the govt of abu dhabi wanted to be professional, considering we have our embassy there, they could have contacted our embassy to confirm the veracity of her claims and authenticity of her passport. Could anyone have traveled with illegal passport and cleared from originating country to even country of interest and even landed, cleared at the airport? i feel something is fishy. There are some nations whose embassy are not in Maldives, does not mean their citizens cannot travel to Maldives since they haven't been banned, there are ways these hiccups are ironed out and the immigrants are not suffered since they are legitimate travelers. I wonder how many countries in the world we would notify of our passport change, there are ways issues like these should have been settled. Reasons we tell people to be of good characters when they travel out instead of looking for local politicians to harass when they travel abroad making intl travel somehow difficult for locals.

This one Na lie. I travelled to Dubai early August with same passport and didn't have any issues with immigration there. My passport was just one day old as at when I landed dubai. Unless Na Abu Dhabi dis one happen. I doubt her story sha.
