I have 3 kids and my wife is a graduate teaching in a private school wt salary of 18k. My kid did not complete last term cos I cld not pay their school fees. Another term is coming and there is no hope. Pls I need a job urgently am frustrated and depressed.

Guy it's not to late for you to do what you have to do..enter street ASAP!

Don't be frustrated, i will advised you leave that your certificate for now and enter street so as to survive. Remember not to dip your hand in crime.... Crime doesn't pay

Temporary solution,
1. Enroll your children in a new school that the fee is not much, irrespective of the standard. The standard will be arguemented by home tutoring which will be done by yourself and your wife.
2. You should get any legal job irrespective of the amount you will be paid.
3. Look at you other bills cut all unnecessary items you have included when you were a banker.
4. Then you can now sit down to restrategise your life.
Note: No body will help you!!!

How do a family of 5 survive on 18,000 Naira monthly? @OP, didn't you save when you were working in the bank? Use your savings to start a small business.

What you need is money or a business to bring in money not necessarily a job. We are in the 21st century. Upgrade your mindset from the job search mentality.

I have several questions for you. If you answer them, we (myself and others) may be able to help you. See the questions below:

1.) What state are you based in?

2.) Do you have a decent Phone with good battery life that you can use to access the internet, receive calls, and chat customers up on whatsapp?

3.) Do you have a decent laptop to either work with or learn a new skill?

4.) Are you willing to change profession or learn a new skill fast? (your accounting profession and MBA might give you leverage)

5.) Can you sell a product or Service to someone? (what many don't realize is that we are all salesmen and women. Its either you are selling your time for salary - with constant risk of losing the job or you are selling a product/service for profit)

Answers to the above questions will make people know you better and know if they can help.

Sometimes I just feel the pain alot are going through (myself inclusive), in this country. Yet another person is sitting somewhere receiving millions of naira as pension all in the name of being an ex president, minister, governor e.t.c

Your thought processes show that you’re inexperienced. How would menial jobs feed a family of 5? How did you think he survived all the 3 years after the loss of his work? Do you even think the so-called menial jobs are easy to come by? Nothing beats regular income.

At OP, just keep the hope alive and apply frantically at jobs. Things will turn around in due course

Hustle is important but it's not all hustle that pays na. The situation in Nigeria is shirking.. ive seen Msc students in such situations too. Just keep the belief up. Never gives up OP
