Gays in jail will be so happy... The legit guys are already suffering from the sins of these scammers. Hard for American clients to give you a gig as a Nigerian now since the news broke out.

Men, it's so painful how a few just keep making us all look bad out there, they should lock him up and destroy the key.

Meanwhile, Americans should stop with the stereotyping already, we don't see them all as mass murderers whenever a mass shooting occurs na, haba.

Nonsense, this news is fake!!!! Bloggers keep doing you, your families will suffer for it

This is how to sentence a fraudster.

The Nigerian Criminal Justice System needs to take a page from the American System.

30 years in jail serves as an adequate deterrent for potential fraudsters. But in Nigeria, yahoo boys will commit fraud and be given a mere 6 months imprisonment. Just in time to come out and continue from where they stopped.

The EFCC Act, Criminal Code, Penal Code, and all other necessary legislation needs to be overhauled to combat this cankerworm that has eaten deep into the moral fabric of this country.

Talk to your leaders also its a way to curb the crime. They can't just use bullion vans to pack money while no jobs or circulation of funds. Also they shouldn't appoint fraudsters as ministers.

Did Americans ask you not to see them as mass murderers?
See them na and stop applying for visas to go to their country. Is it not about time to fix our own country instead of running to where the people have laboured for their communities and still continue to do so

todaynewsreview:
The bodies of at least 74 migrants have been washed ashore in western Libya, in the latest tragedy along the dangerous trafficking route to Europe. The Libyan Red Crescent posted photos of dozens of bodies in black and white bags lined up along the shore near the western city of Zawiya.
A spokesman for the aid organisation said there were still bodies floating out at sea as the agency had no way of retrieving them. He said the migrants were all adults, mostly from sub-Saharan African countries, and all but three were men.
The UN migration agency, the International Organisation of Migration (IOM), said the dinghy had set off on Saturday with 110 people on board. The agency said traffickers deliberately took the engines from the boat and then abandoned it to drift.

If the thread is about Invictus then you people should discuss Invictus and leave Igbo tribe out of it, if you want to discuss tribe and who is the most corrupt tribe then open a thread on it

WHERE IS ABIKE DABIRI ?

Nigerians Amongst 22 Busted in NJ Credit Card Crime Ring
TWENTY-two people, including a Hudson County jail nurse, were processed in court today as part of a large investigation into a multi-state, multimillion-dollar credit card fraud ring by the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and other agencies.
The arrests were made Wednesday morning, the result of a seven-months investigation according to Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor Gene Rubino.

Of the 22 people charged today, 21 appeared in Central Judicial Processing court via video link from the Hudson County jail. The nurse who works at the county jail in Kearny, Oladayo Araromi, was being held at Essex County jail and did not appear in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City.

Araromi was arrested Wednesday morning at the jail by Secret Service agents, Hudson County spokesman Jim Kennelly said today. Araromi has worked at the jail for just under two years and is paid $79,298 a year. Kennelly said, adding she has been suspended without pay.

All 22 people have been charged with theft by deception, wrongful impersonation, and conspiracy charges.

Bail was set by Hudson County Superior Court Judge Joseph Isabella prior to their appearances in court.

Those held on $500,000 bail include: Henry Abdul, Olanasseur Adekoya, Ibrahim Akaba, Aglaide Alzuptar, Olushola Ayeni, Olutoya Babatunde, Ahaneta Bertrand, Gotbgo Dahnsan, Yves Desir, Fontessa Foreman, Vladimir Francois, Kossi Klutse, Evan Morris, Orwells Oyakhire, and Michael Assih.

Those held on $1 million bail include: Adegbda Adedeji, Oladapo Araromi, David Brown, Oluwaseun Jato, Olamide Otti and Bolair Ola.

Bail for Araromi was not immediately available.

Rubino said yesterday the early-morning raids involved more than 160 law enforcement officers from several state, county and local agencies.

The victims involved are from across the nation, Rubino said, adding that the ring generated nearly $1 million per month.

Additional details about the investigation have not been released.

Both Abacha and obassanjo were lucky they didn't steal from Americans. That kinsman of yours chose the wrong people to mess with. He will do the time

I mentioned Abacha and Obasanjo not because of stealing from America or not, I mentioned them cause the other guy said igbos are the most corrupt tribe in this country soiling the name of Nigeria which is false the northerners and the southwest has looted this country 20 times more than we igbos,

Doing the time is not a problem at least he is better than the 30+ afonja's and northerners heading for the ropes in Saudi Arabia

The Advance Fee Fraud and other Fraud Related Offences Act takes care of these - and the punishment, I can tell you is not less than 5 years and Max of 20 years/15 depending on the type of offence. But prosecutors may not charge under this law - they would rather go with 419 in the Criminal Code which is only 3 years - just for kickbacks from these guys.

Truth is, the law isnt so much the problem. It’s the persons who are meant to enforce it. Every day EFCC and SARS arrest all these people - but you rarely hear of a conviction. Nigerians are the problem of Nigeria.
