P&ID $9bn Judgement Debt: P&ID Gas Contract Was Not Approved, Says Aondooakaa by 9jatriot(m): 11:39pm On Aug 30, 2019
Conceptualized by PDP, Planned by PDP, Designed by PDP, Implemented by PDP, Defaulted by PDP before they suddenly got thrown out, now they want to use the backdoor to collect the money.

By the time the truth of the matter comes out, we will all apologize to Invictus Obi for calling his scam the biggest scam in the world.

If you do a google search for P&ID, it will return a result that those in the Oil and Gas industry know it to be Piping and instrumentation diagram.
Now humor me and do a search your self on your PC for P&ID company, on my own PC, up to page 3 of the returned result, there is no such company listed, the closest to the company are all as a result of the court cases.
When I first heard EFCC was involved in reviewing the case, I was wondering what concerns EFCC with court case, now I now see that some people have really developed a lot of skillful ways never before seen anywhere in the world of defrauding their country.

Nigeria has to go back to the days of fire squad, many people have to be fired in a televised session for some others to have sense.

Michael Aondooakaa, former attorney general of the federation (AGF), says the gas contract awarded to Process and Industrial Developments Limited (P&ID) was not approved by the federal executive council.

Aondooakaa was Nigeria’s chief law officer in 2010, during the administration of Umar Musa Yar’adua, when the contract was signed.

A British court had given the company the fiat to seize Nigerian assets worth $9 billion.

In 2010, P&ID, an Irish engineering company, entered into a 20-year gas and supply processing agreement (GSPA) with the federal government to build a state-of-the-art gas processing facility in Calabar.

But the company said after spending several years preparing for the project, it collapsed because the Nigerian government did not build a pipeline or secure supply of gas as stipulated in the agreement.

It then sought judicial remedy in 2012, and in 2017, it was awarded $6.6 billion in damages – of which interest rose to $9 billion.

The process leading to the award of the contract has raised concerns with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) declaring it would investigate those involved in it.

The names of Rilwanu Lukman, deceased ex-minister of petroleum and Aondooakaa have been mentioned as some of those involved in the contract.

In a report by the Nation, the former AGF said he was not aware of the deal.

“I can tell you that no such contract was brought for deliberation to the best of my knowledge “I did not see such contract and since the news broke I have been wondering how this was possible,” he said.

Abubakar Malami, attorney general of the federation, had said the deal was designed to fail because it was between P&ID and the ministry of petroleum resources which does not produce gas.

“The fact remains, you cannot sign an agreement for a product you do not have. It is against this background that there is need for a criminal investigation,’’ he said.

He also said all those behind it will be prosecuted.

The government said it would enter into negotiations with the company on the judgement.

If the so called agreement was signed in Nigeria they should come and use a Nigerian court or go to International arbitration court not a local court in UK

All this claims and counter claims sef where will it take this country abeg....Both APC and PDP are the same, they are just hell bent on destroying this country. PDP was in charge of the country for 16 years and they looted everywhere dry while APC on the other hand came into power without any plan or blue print on how to run government believing they will just throw money out and solve whatever mess the PDP left behind not knowing the treasury was near empty thus putting them into more confusion and showing clearly how clueless they are...

Do you even understand the procedures stipulated in the public procurement act to be followed before awarding such a contract? The AGF as at when the contract was signed is telling you that the FEC did not approve the award of the contract and you are here shouting that we should go and pay. You want your country to pay some dubious Irish for a contract that wasn’t even validly awarded?

Even if you hate the president, must you hate your country? Every reasonable Nigerian should be concerned about the criminal intention behind the contract. The fact that our law was violated in the process leading to the award says it all. This is the time to get patriotic and drop the silly APC vs PDP mentality that has eaten deeply into the brains of some of you. Nigeria will not pay that silly company and their corrupt collaborators any $9billion.

This my dear country keeps living true to its hype as the comedy central of the world indeed.

Where has Aondooaka been hiding all these while and why is he just singing?

Where did Reno and co who were saying this government defaulted in settling the initial out-of-court settlement and was the reason why the country would now pay a whopping $10B to the Irish firm.

This case needs to be properly looked into and investigated, whoever is found guilty or an accessory should be made an example of including their tribal or regional apologists.

Useless animals.

Our nation was raped, battered and scammed for almost 20 years of PDP heinous misrule.

It could have been worse if the ineffectual buffon that told us STEALING IS NOT CORRUPTION won the election.

Nigeria will be great again.

Being patriotic is not seeing what is wrong and applauding it. Knowing how Niggeria operates Im not surprised about this. Do you know how many investors heve come here and suffered, lost money due to incompetence? If you really are patriotic you will be concerned about the situation we have built that makes the country so unpalatable for businesses to thrive

But what do you do if its all a ploy to siphon money from Nigeria with connivance of corrupt government officials then who knew all along that the government will not go along with the project and their intention and goal is to collect kickback from backdoor from this rogue UK company.

Buhari and his goons are illiterates. Due process and the law are two different things. As long as the contact was signed by authorized persons, then it's binding.
The fact that the UK was selected as the place of arbitration shows that the people understand Nigerians very well.
When you take over government, you take over all assets and liabilities. APC will take the full blame.

I feel sad when I see folks like you defending incompetent leaders! We were all in this country when Buhari waited for 6 months before getting his cabinet ready. This was a period he was busy junketting from Nigeria to London. I could recall the level of hardship imposed on innocent Nigerians.
The same man watched the value of Naira collapse under the dollars and I could still remember how I cried whenever I tried buying dollars with huge Naira.
The same Buhari decided to make himself minister of petroleum because he felt he could hold two demanding offices at the same time.
The P&ID plan has been properly executed due to the incompetence of our leaders.
