He only said if the dude is still a tenant, he should consider the owning a house offer. To me, his post didn't warrant this kinda rebuttal from you.

I don't live or work in Lagos, if I have 3.5m, ill go check that flat out and buy it. I can later resell or have a house of my own whenever I visit Lagos.
